Add Countdown till Event Close to Event Summary

I have lost track of the number of times one of my alliance-mates has hopped onto alliance chat or line to ask if anyone has received their alliance prizes yet, and my answer to them is "the final timeslot ends in 'x' hours; after it closes we will get paid."

Is there a way to add a timer that indicates how much time is left in the overall event so people will know when alliance rewards will be coming?

changes I would like to see in a variable-end-time world:
1 - see rewards without having to join a timeslot (even letting us click in to see rewards 24 hours early when the 'tease' image is loaded...)
2 - a clear indicator of how much time is left in an event after my timeslot has concluded
3 - if I am in an early-ending timeslot - the 'alliance rank' on the summary screen is updating 'sometimes'... if its not going to accurately track current alliance position maybe it should be removed?
