This is probably in the guide but it looks really confusing. So how do you get the most points in the event. Do you clear one round of max points and stop playing till it fills again?

In short, yes. Maximum points is do a full clear every 2 hours 24 minutes (which is how long they take to refill) and then grind everything down to 1 before the end.0 -
I noticed the timers go for more than two and a half hours. Do you mean attack each one once, and then wait the 2 hours? If you mean keep attacking till they are all empty, the timers seem to clock more than those 2 hours.0

If you clear a node once, it should only take the 2:24 to refresh. Id you do it twice in a row, it'll take 4:48 to fully refresh, etc. If the first clear is 100 points, and you do it again immediately, it'll be worth 80, then 60, 40, 20, 1, and take longer to go back to 100 from each.0 -
That way gets you the most rewards as well?0

Not necessarily. There's some trade-off between points in the main, points in subs, ranking in the main, and ranking in subs. That method gets you the most points, but not necessarily the highest ranking, because other people are trying the same thing. If you do it perfectly you get the most points and the highest ranking, but it's essentially impossible to do it perfectly.0 -
Are the top players also playing each node down to 8+ hours each night before bed to account for sleep?
I've done every 2.5 hours the entire way through and still fall behind by quite a bit. Does this make the difference between 1st place and 50th place?0 -

Generally, to max out your score, you need to grind down as much as possible before the end of the sub.Switchman wrote:I've done every 2.5 hours the entire way through and still fall behind by quite a bit. Does this make the difference between 1st place and 50th place?
If you're not grinding down at the end, that could make that big a difference, especially in a competitive PVE.0 -
Yup, what Ben Grimm said. If you can clear each node once every 2.5h, so can many others. Thus the tie breaker is how fast you can grind every node down to 1 point in the final hour.
Order of clearing nodes may have some, influence in getting the max points. For the 2.5h clears, I'd just do low to high. For final hour, high to low. Others may have more efficient way of doing this.0
