Is it just me? Since installing R66 on my iPad mini 2 this morning, my battery has plummeted.
It went from 50% down to 11% very rapidly, and from 11 straight to 4.

I don't have background apps running except for iBooks was open.

  • Have you tried looking at a battery usage app?

    Can not duplicate.

It is the same as before.
  • Personal observation, the game has been a battery hog since forever. Especially when I am on 3G, the battery goes down like diarrhea. On Wi-Fi it is better but comparing it with my iPhone, my iPhone lasts longer than my HTC One. Maybe it's just how the different OS deal with apps?

Hard to judge as the battery drain is dependent on many factors:

    - brightness of the screen
    - wi-fi or 3g usage
    - availability of signal and it's strength
    - background computing and apps
    - usage of specific optimization apps

Generally MPQ is a battery vampire since it was introduced. It would of course help if the game was coded in a way that you can limit the complex animations and graphics, if you could selectively adjust the brightness of certain elements etc. Not only it might increase speed of that application (specifically on older equipment), but of course it would impact the battery drain.
  • Strength of signal is extremely important factor. Once I was having really **** internet in phone (+phone charging from usb in Laptop) and first time ever I had warning that my smartphone (LF Swift L9 II) temperature rose too high and it's about to shut down. Like seriously, it was burning hot and you could smell hot plastic. Can only imagine how much power it was eating. Also time between 5% power warning and automatic shut down when playing in this app is 5 seconds, literally. Grabbed cord, plugged it one side, already shutting down before I connected other side.
  • It's always been terrible in terms of battery useage for me. Can't say I have noticed a difference recently, just as bad as always. Weird that other games I play that are similar are fine, but this one gives the impression it needs its own nuclear power station to operate for any length of time.
