A short intro. started a month and a half ago. put a bit of money in, mostly on 10 and 40 packs. I have a few maxed out 2 stars. maybe 4-5 three stars around level 111. didnt want to max them out anymore due to the PVE setting being based on roster strength. games great. I love marvel. puzzle games I'm not particularly fond of or against but the fact that i get to recruit my own marvel team and fight baddies with made it quite enjoyable.

But here's the problem, even though I am aware of all the dilemmas the game makers/producers have to go through - like who are we targeting, who will pay, how much will they pay? at what point will people think we are only after their money? - I'm starting to think they're not doing a great job. I understand that if they didn't make money, why would they stick around? But they're just pumping out too many characters too fast. They're also making the players pay too much to stay relevant. I remember this great game that came out a few years ago on facebook, it was also a marvel game. It revolved around the concept of the player being an agent of shield and then having to recruit 2 heroes and then proceeded to fight bag guys in a turn based fashion. It started out great. But after awhile, the developers realized they wanted to milk it for as much as possible and didn't care about anything else. What happened was every week a new hero came out, and that hero was needed to play and do well in the PVE so you can attain the next hero. They gave you a little taste too, the first stage of every new event had the featured hero at a really high level. Now...eventually the player base kinda realized what was happening and now that game is out of existence. It made it's way to the handheld smart devices but the game has a 1 star rating and everyone bashes on it in the reviews. I think Marvel Puzzle Quest is on it's way to being in that situation also. Even a month ago, I didn't feel like the producers were strictly out to get my money. I felt that the producers were after your money yes...but it still wanted to develop a solid game that people would enjoy. After this last PVE event, d3p has completely changed my mind. Rocket and groot into thor 4 into now gamora? and obviously into another member of the guardians of the galaxy or maybe something having to do with the avengers 2 movie franchise. AND the fact that the PVE is the exact story and conversation cut screens and the exact same nodes and bad guys as the rocket and groot pve but now has thor 4 and blade as the required heroes which make no sense just reaffirms the fact that this game is on the way to fizzing out.

The developers need to be smarter, take a look at clash of clans. Sometimes a lot of updates came out one after another prompting more $$$ to stay relevant, but they have also added other features making the game fun and keeping people interested. There are clan wars, clan members are given a day to prepare and the clan chat is just nonstop for days on end. Clan members know each other by name and talk of strategy and attack options. What units to donate. It's nothing like puzzle quest where you just join an alliances and never even speak to anyone. In clash of clans the game was just as fun if you didn't drop a ton of cash. They always matched you with someone who was on your level. And the rewards were always there. It's easier to progress to the higher levels of play now in clash of clans, sure there are still a lot of things you can spend money on, but you don't feel like you have to. And it's exactly because of that that I still do spend money in it because I want to support them. It seems like theyre trying to keep their players and to reward them with progression. There's none of this whole spend money and chances are you will get nothing. Money spent directly correlates with progression. help us out d3p. these chain PVEs where you need to spend a ridiculous amount of money just to "keep up" are gonna wipe us out. ive already lost the urge to play and have turned off all future purchases for this game. I'll still play from time to time but you guys need to come up with some new concepts. your whales may be a good income now but what you need is the average player to enjoy themselves and to be a constant source of income. Wouldn't you want to make money over long periods of time as opposed to pray the hunderd top whale spenders stay in their frenzy mode and dish our ridiculous amounts of money for and hope it lasts for another while. Dont be that 1 star marvel facebook game in a year from now.

thanks for reading.

    thanks for readying.

And then you suggest them to put in more changes for P2W?

    Unbelievable.

His point, I think, is that Clash of Clans adds enough content to make investing money feel worth and investing time worth it.

I don't think anyone here would argue that $1/day won't get you very far in MPQ. Heck, $25/week won't even get you that far.

Perhaps the random rewards can be changed? I really dont need any more two star modern hawkeye tokens. how about something like 5 hero covers can be traded in for another random token. or how about more hp rewards. or maybe when you have a reward, perhaps offer a selection. For example, i just got like 4000 points in the current PVE, i got a yellow two star captain america. why not offer capn america and you can pick which color you want? or maybe a daken, capn america, and black widow and you get to choose or something. im sure you can pull up a pie chart and see which characters people have the least of and offer them those characters.

I agree with the sentiment. If you start now from day 1, and you want to get top 10 *immediately*, then you probably need more than $1000 for covers and ISO to max them all.

However, I like it that it is not (too) P2W. You can't just swing your credit card... you at least need to win that first 3 covers of thoress first.

Right now, HP gives you a miniscule advantage in the form of shields and +all boosts. It still adds up, but the paying players need to pay a lot more.

That "evens" the playing field for the f2p players. I'll prefer that situation to be kept.
