Black Friday/Holiday Sale?

I'm sure the game was still in it's infancy at this time last year... but does anyone recall any Black Friday or Holiday sales for HP/ISO?

You're in luck. A 30% off sale just started.
  • I'm still not able to reconcile with the fact that I've spent more on a match-3 game than I have on any other (be it app or software). Seriously have to be more circumspect about such expenditure.

this sale is garbage. It should be 50% sale at the very least. They have done a 50% sale before, why won't they do it again?

200% or better or my money is going to another game icon_e_smile.gif
  • I'll be partaking in the 30% sale. If you think the Devs deserve your support, support them. If not, do not. I think they do, so I will.

For the same reason they don't make a lot of things either cheaper, or free in this game; because they know they can still make money off of it no matter what. At the end of the day, this game is about making money to D3. They can veil it with "fun balancing" and any other catch phrase they want to make it more palatable, but at the end of the day, they made this game to make money. Sure, they could make a sale with 5o% off of the regular price. They could also make the chances of getting good covers in the packs better, but as long as people buy the goods they are selling, what incentive does D3 have to change their system? I don't like the overall business model they have in place anymore than you do, but I have accepted that their first priority is to make money, and as long as they can keep the masses happy, they will continue in their present course. The big difference is that lately, they have upped their release rate for characters, and this is a direct correlation to their want for income. They could have easily left their release schedule at the former pace, but they saw an opening to make more money, and they are jumping on it. The same goes for any other move or change D3 has made in the recent past. The old saying of "be careful what you ask for, because you might get it," holds true for this game just like anything else. People come on here and complain so loudly that D3 has no choice but to listen. Now if the complaint you utter is a whisper compared to other complaints, like the Sentry nerf for example, then your complaint will fall on deaf ears, as they don't see any immediate gain that can be had by addressing your issue. I'm not saying that you will be ignored altogether, but for D3, unless the situation affects their bottom line immediately, then they aren't going to address the situation until they see fit. As I see it, you have 3 choices.
    1. You accept these truths, and try to make your complaint in a very concise and well put together argument, so hopefully others that agree with you will jump on board and D3 will notice and take action.

    2. You can ignore the fact that this is a money making game, even though it started as a F2P, and keep complaining at every turn and not make a good case for your argument, while still playing and giving D3 your money.

    3. You can quit playing the game.

In the end, the choice will be yours, but as long as D3 is still making money on this game, they will continue in whatever way they think will make them money. There are lots of ideas that people have here that can make the game better, and I have seen where D3 has incorporated some of these ideas in one way or another. I have also seen where a good idea was lost due to how it was presented. You can either play their game, or not, because they have no reason to play ours.
