Are there any "only care about new character" alliances?

I thought about posting this in the Alliance section, but as that is more for recruiting members to an alliance, or looking to join top alliances, I figured general discussion.

Does anyone know if there are any currently existing alliances that only go for the "newish" characters? I have been playing for quite a bit and have been in a top 100 alliance since the season's started. However, I decided after the start of this season to get off the top 100 alliance hamster wheel. I found myself scoring more points in events I just didn't care about just to help the alliance out, when other members had scores down.

I initially planned to go lone-wolf and just play when I saw an event that interested me, and go "hero-for-hire" anytime rewards for an event were something I was really interested in. On the train this morning it dawned on me, that there might already be a group of people that have banned together to go after only these newer characters.

Does anyone know of such a group? If there isn't would anyone else be interested in such an alliance? I doubt this sort of group would get the 4hor covers for this season and next (and future 4* season prizes), but it might be nice to work together to cover all of the newer three stars, and take breaks on all these re-runs.

There are some lazy (aka MPQ smart) alliances who play casually, but forth serious efforts when it's for a character they want. I heard one such alliance once got first in Heroic Juggs.
