Is there a negative multiplier on cascade match dmg?

Hey there,

I couldn't find this anywhere but was curious if there is a negative multiplier as cascades happen. I've noticed that as the cascades get more and more ridiculous, the match damage from them approaches 1. Even a 2 match cascade has a noticeable decline when that 2nd one matches.

I mean, I can understand it because of the chance of downing the other team completely off match damage alone from a bad cascade but I'd like to know for sure.

Any confirmation of this?

It definitely exists. Pretty sure I've read it's 75% of previous damage. (25% reduction)

Thanks! I'm sure I could've collected a few cascade numbers to figure it out but with strike tiles, it skews my ability to notice sometimes.
  • Grumpysmurf is correct -- it's 75% of normal match damage, then strike and protect tiles are applied on top of that.
