Transition 2*>3* players, when do you start seeing 166 wall?

We all know about the 166 wall, you run into when climbing in PVP. You're on a good winning streak, climbing in points and rank steadily, matched up with opponents that are on your level (and if not, still beatable with AI controlling them) when all of a sudden, all you see is 166 teams. When do you encounter this? I normally see it mid 500s. I think the vets with 166 rosters see it a lot later than we do. I hear them say they can climb to 700 - 800, before seeing it.
It makes sense that their wall shows up later, because in the 500s, we encounter our similar teams. At 500s, they're encountering us. Above the 500s, they should be seeing the weaker 3* teams, and then see their similar rosters, which is the 166 wall.

For me, it starts between 500 and 550 points. I can barely play beyond 600 points, because every single opponent will have a full 3-star team and I will get attacked so often that I am back to 400 points quicker than I can spell Indiana Jones.0

I start to see 166 teams around 500-550 points, and see almost nothing else after 600.0

I hit it hard at 550-600. And unlike previous PVPs there is no going over, under or around it, even a little. I can skip until I'm blue in the face and have wasted 200+ ISO, and I never find a team I have a chance of beating. Once you hit it, you can either spend $ on shields or watch your points dwindle with no hope of reclaiming them.0

Two seasons ago (VI) I was seeing it only after passing 650-700, it was nice to usually hit the 1K Iso reward. Occasionally (rarely) T25'd.
Last season (VII) it seemed to vary, sometimes after 550 and sometimes after 600. This was terrible, that HP at 600 is an absolute necessity to get roster spots. Rarely T50'd (never T25's), and I missed 3-4 top 100's - something I had never done since season one. The MMR last season was terrible for transition teams.
First event this season (VIII) it was right after 600. I think my top characters in (VI) were 117 and now they are 127, I don't know if that is part of the MMR.
It makes the PVP events pretty worthless to play until the last half hour to hour, when the 166's are already pushing beyond 600 and won't see/attack you nearly as often. And any event that is worthless to play for the majority of it is pretty boring.0 -
I start seeing 'over the barrier' people at around 500, the closer to 600, the higher ratio of fully leveled 3s. Passing 600 might be so Iso consuming hunting for workable team that it's cheaper to make mini-not-sentry-bomb with boosted MNM and Storm then shield. Your defensive roster doesn't matter as without shield you will get eaten alive by every single person who get you into their que.0

75% of the time 600-650. sometimes before 600 and rarely after 650.0

i think this phenomenon show player base of the game is deading . As not enough new players and old player growth in power, the server group all players into same group, even you are not in match with 166. The story end0 -
Atm - between 600 - 650. A Season ago, it was 500 - 550. So no idea how that works - the weaker I was, the more I got paired with impossible matches? Broken.0

500 seems to be the magic number for me and my girlfriend, 550 if we're lucky.0

550 to 600. By the way (full stop) Did I tell you about all the 20 and lower points worth of matches till I got to that point? Maybe it's better so that people don't lose stupid amount of points overnight but it makes climbing kinda tedious even to 300.0
-
Was around 600, now seems to be from 550. My guys are all around 120.0

Depends on
1. When you play.
2 days to go ~ 400-500
1 day to go ~ 500-575
3 hours to go ~ 550-625
2. If new characters are being given out:
+ 100-200 depending on the character and how hard the PVE was.
3. If multiple chars are boosted - varies0 -
On the last day of event it is almost exclusively right after 600pts mark. During Nefarious foes it was different, I climbed to nearly 800 without hitting wall..0

I take back what I said earlier... In Smash Hit, it started as early as 450 points. I guess that has something to do with the whole end-time thing.0
-
Smash hit is a different beast because Hulk makes it hard to sentry bomb -> Takes 2 bombs. Overall matches are slower because of Hulk's huge health.0

420 for me. *sigh*
Kind of ridiculous. Couldn't even make it to 600. Just waiting for the timer to expire on my slice right now...0 -
450-500 on Smash Hit.0
-
Glass ceiling is definitely lower in Smash Hit. 450-500. Stop. Do not pass go. Do not finish in the top 100.
Here's your hat; what's your hurry?0 -
My Smash Hit just ended, and I started to see the first of the 166 teams at around 450.0

The wall is around 600 to 650, but it is not the wall that is the problem. The problem is that from 400 up to the wall, every matchup is with someone 100-200 points lower than me, which means no more than 20 points at a time. The flip side of that coin is that players below 400 can see me, so 30-35 point losses. That's win-win right there.0
