[POLL] D3's Priority List

Unknown
edited November 2014 in MPQ General Discussion
The point of this poll is to vote according to the priority you think D3 should be giving to known issues. I will try to include some of the most heard issues around the forums. If you feel like you have something more to add, you can always add your post below.

I vote for New Stories, Character Rotation fix and Roster Slot Costs. I really hope they stop the new char release parade we have been experiencing lately. I want that PVE to give me some old covers (Thank you for Falcon) to progress some more.

  • I voted for new stories, fix existing characters and PVE scaling, but if I had a 4th choice it would be an adjustment to roster slot costs.

I voted for roster slots, new stories and fix existing characters.
If the Dev's are going to continue to pump out new characters they need to lower the cost of roster slots it is getting difficult to keep up with the HP cost. If they don't want to fix roster slot costs then they need to increase the reward structure and give out more HP and more ISO.
New Stories- this is just needed in PVE. They keep saying they are working on it and I hope it will come out soon.
Fix existing charcters- D3 you have so many 3* characters that are just not worth playing or putting ISO into that have so much potential. They are out dated and need some love. Don't be stubborn just relize that some older characters need to evolve as the game as evolved and some new characters (I am talking to you Beast) were just better on paper then they were in real life. You are willing to nerf the OP, but are hesitant to buff the lower tier. When you do both the player base is much more accepting of the Nerf, and gets excited to try out the new character. Some players might actually put some ISO into them or buy a cover (if they have enough HP to spare after the roster slots).

Voted for PVP matchmaking, PVE rubberband/scaling, and Token Rotation. Because honestly, whatever new features get added (characters, stories, fixes/balances, etc.) are just gonna compound the problem until these issues are first addressed.
  • This will be right up there with some of the dumbest answers that I've given; however, I want them to stick to whatever list that they have been working from. With the exception of the fiasco that was last week, over the last several months of getting it right, they've earned enough cred with me that I trust that they know what they are doing.

Hey, it's a dumb answer (especially trusting them due to track records prior to that time), but it's the also the honest one.
  • In addition to the things listed above:

Here we are up to version R65 and we still can not see the enemy AP without scrolling to the right during each turn. Hell, I can't even see the 3rd enemy character without scrolling to the right. Pretty silly.

IMHO, the disparity between new character releases compared with the and ISO and Hero Points available is slowing/killing any chance of progression. Even if I did win a new Mystiqe cover, I have no open roster slot, only 325 HP and I guess I'd have to throw away my 1* Storm or 1* Iron Man (who I'll probably need for a Heroic event soon).
  • Voted to fix existing characters as I think they should be a priority over adding new ones. Adding new characters just puts those that need fixing further behind...

Also voted for changing Roster cost due to the increased amount of new characters being added and how hard it can be to have the HP on hand to make sure you have room for them. I'm transitioning 2*-3* with very few 3*'s with more than one cover, so no major front runner to know I should hang on to. When it comes to cutting someone its rough because of the chance that the one I let go is the one I get that next cover for on my next pull...

And also for reward structure as I feel rewards that are relevant to my level of play are out of my reach in regards to progression rewards. Also there seem to be odd jumps in rewards... going from 250 iSO to 1000 iSO at the next level (rank reward for Sim PVE) Couldnt there have been a middle ground in there somewhere? change the top one or two 250's to 500's?

Is it bad that I wanted to cast all three votes for "Fix/balance and ADD POWERS".....maybe that last part was just emphasized in my head...

Other than a hiccup here or there, I agree. Overall it seems like the effort is there, but maybe manpower is a little low to implement the changes as fast as they/we would like.

They've said in the past, they don't want to overhire now and have to terminate ppl later. They did recently post for a new position. So at least one new person added to the efforts.

Echoing this sentiment. Even when making a "mistake" here and there, they've shown they are willing to take the extra step to admit it and compensate.

I think you made a mistake. I only see "Roster Slot Costs" there once, I need to vote for it 3 times

    Where is "Making money".

D3 is the publisher, not the developer (that's demiurge). As a publisher, D3 is interested in 1 thing only: profit.

As a developer, demiurge should be interested in creating a stable product. Not sure if they're quite there yet.

Pretty tough to pick only three.
    I went with:
PVE Scaling/Rubber banding - Doesn't matter what characters are available if you have to jump through as many hoops as currently there to get them.
Token rewards - Doesn't matter which characters are buffed/refactored if you can't get them.
Fix Existing Underpowered Characters - there are easily 20 characters that could use a once over, even simple AP cost adjustments to some characters would make them way more useful.

Roster Slots is #4. I think mine cost 700 right now...
  • Hey look at that, I voted for the top 2 choices.

The game certainly does not need this never ending stream of 3*s when there are viable 3*s already in the game that need work like all the people with 2 powers and all the imbalanced heroes like IM40.

Also new stories. I feel these things go hand in hand. I would like to see an end to new characters being released without their very own PvE to support them. That way you get a feel for how each character fits in instead of "here's Jugernaut Heroic, oh yea and Mystique is a thing now". If D3 could curb the character march and release them hand in hand with new PvE I feel the game would take a huge step forward.
  • The fact that only 8 out of 300 chose "New Characters" from the list should count for something. At least I hope so...
  • I would vote fix the game so that it gets past the loading screen!!
  • I vote Rework rewards, PVE Scalling and roster slot cost.
But the list made in terms of gameplay while there's other technical issues that should've taken into top priority: Lollipop, Ally Chat, Bandwidth consumption issue has been an obstacle to play.
Like hulksmash mentioned, fix the game or bugfixing 1st then improve gameplay.
