Mystique can shapeshift with no purple tiles out

Just cast Surgical Strike in the Simulator against a team with purple as their strongest color. Left me with a lot of purple on a board with none. Cast Mystique's Shapeshift. She shifted, but it did not generate a countdown tile. Unfotunately, the AI grabbed an extra yellow at some point, Thunderstrike into Call of the Storm killed me. But prior to that, I had her shifted for a few turns with no tile.

    It just happened to me ( surgical purple into Shapeshift). No purple left on the board, so no CD tile but she remained shapeshifted into Moonstone. Wasn't able to tell if the AP stealing worked, but I didn't get any indicators that I was receiving AP or that the enemy was losing any (was my first time using Shapeshift)
