People without 3 req heroic characters

How does a person with only 2 required heroes have 59000 pt's? Does it just let you use other things?

    No, but you can play with only 1, or 2 characters if that's all you have. If the only character you have is a icon_blackpanther.png who is getting a huge buff, you've only got one character to eat healthpack.png packs, and your scaling is probably pretty good.

    It's a significant advantage when you're fighting guys with Flamethrower/Rocket where you don't have to worry about your fodder characters eating a Rocket and have to waste an additional health pack on them. In general it should be a disadvantage but there are a good number of Pyro/Grenadier/Ares in this event, and Daken tends to make short work out of your weaker guys whenever they have to pop out to make a green/red/purple match.

    How? Aren't all the other characters locked? Do you just play with BP as a one man team? I remember you could enter the Dark Avengers tournament even with a single character. Maybe that's it?

    You can enter with a 1 or 2 character team if that's the only characters you have available. If you have more but they're downed, the game will insist on you reviving the downed character first. If your support characters are weak, it's arguably better to just delete them and use the one strong boosted character instead.

    It is possible to get 59k points with 2 heroic characters though only if you have a low roster. I have a low roster and got 55k with just a IM35 and a A.wolvie.

    yes: BP and either Colossus or GSBW would have been enough, - granted expensive
