Given the fact that this is an obsessive-compulsive game i believe some kind of post-match and user statistics would help us players see how -or why- we are -not- improving.
For example an user win-loss record or some kind of event stats would really help us 2*-3* transitioners realize what went right or wrong at each event don't tou think?
