I was healing Patch in the prologue and got a standard token. Cashed it in and got my first cover for XForce's Surgical Strike. Still smiling.

Was hoping other people would share their, "That moment..." experiences. Not just a pat on the back thread, I swear!

In the later nodes of the Gauntlet, I sent out MNMag/CStorm/MHawk hoping they'd win 1, or at least make the match last a little longer so my main team could recover a bit/give me time to regen health packs. They ended up winning 3-straight nodes without needing to heal before wiping on #39, and even that was close.

My "That moment" is when I'm going to try to play one more match before I get attacked. I use Steve Rogers and OBW. I load the match and the board is full of purple, red and blue. I smile to myself, thinking to my opponents, "Ok guys, this is going to hurt, but it will be over real quick". I love that moment.

Within a week I had gotten four characters from tokens - two falcons, a BP, and a spider man. Not ideal, but EVERY TIME, it just makes you feel great.

It's like finding a rare item in an urn in Diablo 2. Just...what?

Mine was during season 6, when my 10 pack gave me one 3* and it was.....drumroll please..... Daredevil . Then then next recruit token I earned was a Psylocke (she was previously ast 5/4/0)

Would that be considered Karma?

Huh. I didn't think you could get 4* covers from a Standard token. I've tracked over a thousand and haven't gotten one.

The chance must be pretty low, like somewhere between .1 and .5 percent.

My son got an Baglady from a recruit token his first week playing. He is 9 and was so excited that he got a 4 I did not have the heart to tell him he would have been better off with nearly any other character.

For a good while, I was getting insanely more characters from standard tokens than heroic tokens, so I had many such moments.

Now that I'm well on my way to transitioning, my "moment" is starting to go from pure elation upon seeing the gold cover to disappointment when it's a cover for a I don't need.

(Also slight disappointment when it's someone like Beast or Daredevil, but I guess I should be thankful.)

I went through this, but now I'm back to elation because I need all the ISO I can get.
