iso in X-Force and improve in PvP !
Hello,
I've been playing for quite a long time.
But now, i have some problems with PvP.
i have full BP (5/4/4), Punisher (5/5/3), LazyThor (5/5/3), Patch (5/4/4), cap (3/5/5), Spidey 153 (4/3/5) Im 40 (5/5/2) and some others less powerfull such as MBW 140, Hulk 127, Falcon 140, Daken 114...
I have also X-Force level 166 with 4/3/5...
I have some difficulties being in top 25 because i often has to shield H-8 (lots pvp finish at 6 a.m in Europe). Moreover, lots of ennemies have full xforce or 3 full characters...(who said Sentry and The Hood ?
I can't go further than around 700-750 points...What can i do ?
I have 2800 HP, 100 000 isos and a slot in advance for the next character.
Question 1...How can i improve my PvP fighting style ?
Question 2...is that a good idea to invest in the last X-Force green cover and to upgrade him as much as i can ? And then...what about my MMR ? Will it be easer for me with him (maybe with LazyThor in PvP) ?
It's very expensive but with X-Force 5/3/5, this may help (i hope)...
Thank you for your advices...
Darek

Once you hit about 800 points, it become shield hopping territory. Essentially you need to keep yourself shielded 100% of the time, and only break shield to make a couple attacks, and then re-shield again. It is pretty expensive to maintain, but it is the only way to get high scores nowadays.0

XForce doesn't truly become a destruction machine until you get that 5th black cover (and the 5th green is much better as well).
If you're nowhere near maxing Sentry/Hood, I'd concentrate on finishing off Daken's covers (5/5/3) and getting the characters you already have maxed into better cover builds (e.g. LT to 3/5/5, BP to 5/3/5). You can make solid teams with them, although you'll still probably have to shield above 800 and use shield hops to get any higher. Unfortunately, those characters are strong but not as fast as [Sentry|Hood|XForce|LD], so those types of teams will eat you for lunch unshielded.
As far as the inconvenient PvP ending times, all you can do is play until you know you're going to start getting hit badly. Then, shield hop to the score you want and throw up your last 8hr shield (and hope your score is enough to get you a better placement in your bracket).
There are certain times to start PvP that seem to give a better chance at getting a less-painful PvP bracket, but everyone has their own ideas on that.0 -
Talahamut and Sandmaker are exactly right. I have Steve Rogers 3/5/5 Maxed and XForce 5/5/3 level 144. Just like you I end up finishing top 25 which is about 750. For the first time I grinded and shield hop to 1236 for 3 place in the Blade tourny. It cost me 20 bucks in gold and just as the other said before, I fight once or twice then shield for 75 gold every time and fight immediately once the shield runs out. Also you going to have to use ISO to boost up every now and then and skip to find no less than 30 point opponents. I know its cheap but my level is too low to compete.
I honestly feel I was lucky this time around to not end up in a pool of players that finish 1600 and above, the top player finished with 1346. Its honestly not worth it for me personally to grind that hard if you don't finish in top 5. I honestly didn't have a life for 2 days but if this is what you want to accomplish then good luck. But X-Force 5/5/3 is god like. Just at level 144 I once had to boost all colors to take on maxed Sentry/Hood/Level 150 blade I only matched one green, black and red and destroyed the whole team in 3 turns due to the cascades and multiple 5 matches. So in closing it is possible to reach high levels but you will have to make some sacrifices. Good Luck remember xforce 5/5/3 for the win0
