Best Teams Against X-Force?

Just looking for some suggested 3* or 2/3* star teams to go against X-Force.

I'm usually trying to take Red, Green and Blue which means I'm not stopping him from acquiring Yellow and Black.
Basically he's the bane of my existence and the only opponent I ever consider skipping.

What teams do you use to fight X-Force ?

Skipping the obvious "bring your own" and Sentry-bombing solutions, I think there's very little that will give you better than a 50/50 shot. If you ramp up quickly enough, a Daken/Falcon thing could take him down, but the board has to be just right. Hood + a big damage dealer like Patch, LT, or BP would be your other best bet. Same thing though. You gotta get up there quick because if X gets those 3 green matches, it's probably over.

Actually Blade does a really good job countering X-Force. He competes for Black, he can drain green from X-Force, and since X-Force isn't going for red, Blade can get some free strike tiles. Obviously this really only works if Blade is on the defensive team, since the AI does not prioritize colors, but if the attacking players begins to chase green, black, and cascades either let Blade's team get an early Nightstalker off or the player leaves lots of red for The Thirst, Blade can be quite an annoyance for X-Force attackers.
  • Not including Sentry/X Force the character that matches up best against X Force is Thor because Thor's strongest color is red and a team with X Force probably won't have a superb red power which prevents the Surgical Strike instant kill. If you don't have Thor you can use Daken/Punisher/Blade whose strongest color is black. This is okay to attack X Force because the AI doesn't do anything clever so you take a 5K Surgical Strike but then there won't be any black tile left so it stops the Surgical Strike combo. Note that when X Force fights back he'll just Surgical Strike your black user to change your strongest color, but you shouldn't expect to defend against X Force with characters that are clearly a tier below.
  • Ares is pretty good cause you'll need to take yellow/green and sometimes red if he's low hp, and with him, you can take Old Black widow or The Hood, cause both will take a good advantage taking black (intimidation for the hood, spy for black widow), and of course you can steal black/green/yellow with only lvl 3 of black widow's purple.
With this team, you'll have to take green, yellow and black for sure and you'll use all the colors, whatever is your 3rd mate (in Versus you can't choose, but in simulator you can.)
(generally a good red/black/blue user -2 of the 3 colors and it should be OK)

For the same reason, Thor (2* or 3*) / Old Black Widow or Thor/The Hood (but then you'll need at least blue lvl 3) could also be good.

If you have a good Steve Rodgers (120+ with at least lvl 5 in red skill), you can easily handle it cause if the enemy doesn't need red, you'll be dealing him great damages. His red can destroy the wolvie yellow's countdown, really nice.
I wouldn't recommend using blue lvl 5 to destroy regeneration tile, since it's beter to use Old Black widow's blue if you team with her.
This is the team I use, and it works well. Problem is that black widow is low hp.

Black Panther uses yellowtile.png and blacktile.png , he may help you too.

I think Sentry is a good counter too, but then you'll need to team with a tank using black (Colossus, I don't see anyone else) and it won't allow you to steal, which rise the risk to fail at the end, so I won't suggest a team with him yet. Sentry/Colossus may be a good team, but I couldn't test it yet.

for a 2*transitioner, OBW + a good green user works nicely. Try to pop in a black user to be able to use the stealed black AP.

As 2* transition OBW works wonders as she steals black with espionage. When X-Force is under leveled his black is only damage and does not generate AP. If you also bring along Thor, if X-Force does get sergical Strike out then it drains Red, which means you can still get His Yellow to Green off compared to using Ares where X-Force will drain green which you need.

Any team with strong green & black abilities will work. You need to deny green and black at all costs so you want someone who can actually use the AP you're collecting. Otherwise, you'll just doing match damage which will get you nowhere.

i second this. i unexpectedly got crushed in the second node of the hard simulator by blade/bullseye/hulk. i had xforce, spidey and CM (all max covered, and with levels higher than the opponents'). ok, so maybe i had a bad board but once blade got enough blacks for nightstalker i was in serious trouble and the next thing i knew hulk was thunderclapping me to smithereens. so yes, against xforce, bring blade and another strong green user that will benefit from blade stealing all that green...jeez.
  • Perhaps a useful tip: Stay the **** away from Patch and Hulk as your center characters. Surgical Strike ruins both of them - Hulk needs green on the board for anger to do anything, and Patch drops his meaty strike tiles on green. Daken is also a poor choice to put front and center, because if the AI detects black as your strongest color, you're gonna eat Surgical Strike -> Surgical Strike, which is about as much fun as eating broken glass.

basically yeah, if you have daken as your center, X-Force will chain surgical strikes and even worse if you have hulk or patch, he'll chain the second surgical strike into green assuming he kills daken with the first surgical strike.
