TheLetterD --S.H.I.E.L.D companion alliance

We here at S.H.I.E.L.D have started a new alliance, TheLetterD. We are currently looking for players to fill it.

This is a 20 spot alliance, 19 of which will need to be filled. The goal is for TheLetterD to be top 100 in pvp and pve at minimum.

We are looking for players who have been competitive, but may want not want to keep pushing high in every event, as well as for transitioning players who are interested in participating in the S.H.I.E.L.D game chats and learning tips from existing members.

The alliance is currently under a different name, but is being changed. In the meantime, anyone interested can contact daveomite via PM or on Line. (His ID on Facebook is Daveomite Rocs.)

The most important thing is for us to find players who fit S.H.I.E.L.D. We may seem hardcore, but we have a lot of fun, don't take the game too seriously, and are a collegial group.

Well if you are in need of someone, I could be a sutible canidate. I just came back into the game, trying to get back into scoring big. I'm currently fighting to stay in the top 10 in the Hunt (currently between #3-#5) and thats because the silly game put me up against new people.

In PvP, I'm usually between 500-600, and im hoping to be much better then last time before i took a long break from the game

We have had several people get in touch with us, so things are looking good, but we are still looking for applicants. Also, just in case people are nervous about joining a new alliance, our plan is to make sure we have enough members lined up to join before TheLetterD goes "live," so it is competitive from the start. We don't want people missing out on alliance covers.

yes he has contacted me. I messaged him again to let him know I'm still interested, i just got booted from a temp alliance that didnt make the top 100 for getting an extra blade cover. Now I have no alliance.

It's actually already launched, just waiting as D3 has to change the name to TheLetterD. Still have openings and looking for players now. Contact me, or reckless, or Wendig0 for info. Until D3 updates the name, search for the alliance in game under S.H.I.E.L.D.-2

Now here's my pitch, folks. Some of you might recognize me, but I doubt many of you do. Long ago I founded DjangoUnbuffed, which was and continues to be a very different sort of alliance than most. I retired from there and quit coming to these forums altogether, so probably only really old schoolers will recognize me. But when I heard about what Shield were doing with TheLetterD, I wanted to come back.

Like my previous alliance, this is also a very different sort of alliance. Shield do not need a sub alliance to swap high scores back and forth like some other alliances you know. That is not what TheLetterD is. It is also not a retirement alliance where burned out players go to quit playing. This is something totally new.

It's almost like Shield are giving back to the members of the MPQ community by creating an alliance where many different types of players can come together to achieve success. There are a couple of veterans in here with me, and also some transitioners that are still learning the ins and outs of tournament scoring. And for those people, there is absolutely no one better in this game to learn from than the members of Shield. For us vets it gives us a chance to share what we know, but also relax a bit from the pressure of top ten alliance scoring.

Our explicit goal is to eventually be a top 50 alliance for each pvp and each season. At the ground floor we want top 100 right now. Basically, as long as we get an alliance cover, we'll let the rest sort itself out. We want to improve each event and continue to do better, until we eventually are consistently top 50 but the minimum right now is getting the cover, including all the Lady Thors. And, to that end, I continue to be amazed at the amount of resources the members of Shield are able and willing to commit.

With the new alliance size increase to 20 members all around, I expect there will be a lot of competition to try to find good members. But if you are looking for a completely unique opportunity among all those alliances, this is the place.

If you tire of the rat race of top alliances, but just want your darn Lady Thor, there is no better place than TheLetterD. If you were previously stuck as the top scorer in a completely casual alliance, but wish you could have gotten decent rewards, the vets in TheLetterD can improve your game.

Thanks - I'm in "superarnold". I'm pretty much the only the daily player left in the alliance - all the others have gone casual, and hence my search for a more active alliance. Averaging between 400 - 500 in pvp at this point. Hopefully, with the right coaching from the vets, I can improve the scores. Scored 515 at the recent pvp.
