Setting Defense Team Cross Between PVP Events?

I've been wondering something: Let's say I want to set my PVP Defense team so a specific PVP event, is the team set as the last characters used in that event, or in any event?

For example:

If I stop playing "PVP event 1" with Ares and OBW and then go on to play with another PVP event (such a SHIELD Simulator) with different characters, are Ares and OBW still my defense team in "PVP event 1" or does it reset to whichever team I used in the other PVP event?

Same question for PVP and PVE. If I play a PVP event and stop with Ares and OBW as my team, then go on to play a PVE event with 3 completely different characters, does my defense team in the PVP event reset to the team I used in the PVE event?

Your defense team will be the last team you used AND won a fight with in that particular event. If you've beaten a player with a different team, they will have a chance to retaliate and will see whatever team you used to fight them, even if you have since set up a different team on defense.
