Hum de dum, might as well use up those three Anniversary Tokens I got as prizes, see what I get.
Ohh, first one's gol- PULSING gold! Four star character! *click* Huh, no emblem fell on it...

2900 hero points? You...you can win that? icon_e_geek.gif
Huh...well not that I'm ungrateful but...kinda hoped it was a black X-force. Well...guess I can expand my alliance a bit then. Still...weird.

The anniversary tokens have (well, had) a small chance to stop large amounts of iso or HP instead of a cover. Back in the early days of the game heroic tokens could do the same, but they changed that a while back.
  • The 2900 HP is only in the anniversary pack, not the normal heroic tokens. I guess the game has to designate a rarity and 4* sounds about right for 2900 HP.

    In a way I was lucky but...I think I woulda preferred a 4* cover 8S

Still, upgraded my alliance by two members. The slow crawl to 20/20 continues.
  • Unless it was the first Black cover, you can use your 2900HP windfall and but the cover and still have 400HP left over.

This was my thought too. Although in the long run, he's probably a little better off with a more competitive alliance than one extra 4* cover.

To the OP, it's certainly commendable to build up your alliance on your own, but you should ask some of your alliance mates if they can open up an extra slot so you guys can all benefit.

    Agreed on all points.

with 2900 HP, you could buy a black X force (assuming you have at least one) and still have 400 remaining.

Weird that you're questioning, literally, the best reward out of those tokens.

The ISO reward is better, Hero point are plenty in the end game Iso however is always needed.

I do hope this was meant as sarcasm icon_e_smile.gif
  • Unless OP needs a black X-Force because he doesn't have any...

Even if he doesn't have one, he can use the 2.9k HP to shield hop to 1300 or top score in an event that gives out black X-Force and still have plenty to spare.

    Not even close.

During the Anniversary week, I accumulated over 100k iso just by winning lightning rounds and placing well in the PVPs.
I got about 800 to 1k HP during the week from progression rewards and placement rewards in the PVPs.

HP is so much more valuable than ISO its ridiculous.

This is one of those arguments that only goes in circles because it entirely depends on where you are in the game.

For what I'm guessing is probably 90% of the playerbase, HP is way more valuable than ISO. That's because we're all cover-starved. We need new covers badly and tend to build up ISO while we're working on the eventual transition to 3*s. Plus HP has obvious spendable benefits to us; we can always use more to build rosters, alliances, shield ourselves occasionally, or even waste it on covers.

For the top ~10% or so, ISO is more important. They have their covers, their roster, their alliance; they're just trying to max out their guys at 166 or 270. It takes a TON of ISO to do this and you will end up waiting a long, long time to farm it all. I think someone said it takes about as much ISO to get a 3* from level 40 to 133 as it does from 133 to 166. Lots.

The trick is that this forum is like 50-75% players in the top ~10%, so you get a slightly skewed perspective on what is worth more compared to the masses. But neither perspective is wrong.
