[POLL] Should LRs be like Lady Thor LRs all the time?
I don't know about you, but I had the best time from any other LR run in this game. These LRs seem so much fan and I love the 20 people brackets.
Finally an event that gives to the community no matter the roster you have. I would definitely be into this LRs in the future. Don't bring back the old ones please, they are so boring!

I'd get really tired of these all the time. They're a fun change, but I liked the old ones, I like rotating my roster, and I like being able to field multiple boosted characters.
Not knocking these by any means, but having the same character on both sides in every single LR is already getting a little old to me.0 -
Actually, I was more focused on the 20 person bracket thing than the buffed char. The chars should rotate like they do normally. I just like how the brackets provide way more rewards than they did before. People (inlcuding me) seem very satisfied with this so far.0
-
Oh, the brackets would be fantastic. I was just focusing on the character thing.0

We definitely should have anniversary tokens in every lightning round from now on. Call them LR tokens, but give us 36.4% odds that I can defy and load up on 250 iso covers anyway.0
-
I like the small brackets in this LR. It gives everyone a better chance at winning something.
On a side note, I the new abilities Ms. Thor has!0 -
They can rotate 4* characters in lighting rounds. I like the fact that we got to fully try her out at level 100 and this would be a good way to test out 4* characters. Well maybe not IW or under powered Dino Devil, but X-Force, Fury, and LThor with solid covers would be fun.0

It's great, but tbh it's almost too easy to win in this format. I just see these Thorette LR's as being a thankyou to they hardcore, like most of the forumites here. Pretty much all the top end players have done well out of this new format.0
-
I'd like to see the format repeated with larger (but still not-huge, maybe 50-100) brackets to keep the craziness of the rewards down, and someone other than a hard-hitting 4* as the focus - even with a decent roster backing her up, these LRs are all about maximizing Smite rather than real team synergy. But the core concept of playing with a fully built loaner and getting a meaningful shot at placement prizes without a full 90 minutes of work is a good one.0

I realy like these 20 players brackets.
I was tired of seeing the same samsha (he screwed me on the 2nd LR this morning), francky etc...0 -
I haven't enjoyed the lightning rounds much since they changed the reward structure away from 3 star covers quite a while ago, but I've been having a great time with this new format. The new Thor seems quite deadly, and is a fun and risky character to use (reminds me a bit of Patch in a way, with the high-risk, high-reward kind of thing going on). She also has excellent synergy with Patch. I've had a chance to play in three lightning rounds so far, and I've finished 2nd, 5th, and 6th. I can't remember the last time I even scored in the top 500 in a lightning round (granted I just sporadically played them to get the 100 point award). Fun fun fun!0

It surely is lovely. Previously, as 2* player, they were just like usual boring 2,5day PvP, except they didn't even rewards anything beside some Iso. Now I feel like I can both compete AND I get to play with character I haven't been able before, vs using 2-man team I used hundreds times before and a warm body.0

Don't really care for the setup but I feel this is the best way to showcase upcoming characters. For the first time we can actually get a good feel for how a character plays because of the 5/4/4 build. I would have honestly flipped my **** if they did 1/0/0 for these.0

Then why not have it with a rotating roster? I.e. a new one each time with that specific character being boosted for that round only? It would let you use everyone and people could experiment more with making new team combos.
And yes, I enjoyed the lightning rounds.0 -
Naturally I like the hugely enhanced reward structure (who doesn't?). I definitely prefer having the main character rotate each round, and I miss having some other buffed characters to use (especially since I've worked so hard for so many months to get the LR characters up to snuff). I certainly would have enjoyed having the full-featured loaner when I didn't have a developed roster, but I'm not sure I'd want to fight against that on every seed team.0

Yea, we just need new LR characters, possibly stronger loaner so is more fun/fair.
Also, LR's will probably not get smaller brackets on a permanent basis. Their primary purpose (at least since LR tokens and covers were nerfed) is to provide a way for players to gain more ISO. This is what a lot of veterans use it for. Many of us play to 100 points to get that progressive and call it an event, and others will play until the seed teams are gone. Either way, it's a great ISO farm. I definitely could not have leveled my characters as fast without. As people are learning, it's a great way to get a lot of ISO without investing a lot of time or health packs.
There are some that play for the full 1.5 hours and some that don't start closer to the end to find larger points target. So use that information to determine what best works for you.0 -
Can I vote that ALL new characters be introduced this way?
We usually get to try out new characters for one node of a PvE. I like this much better.0 -
Having a reward with what feels like a reasonable chance of a 'good' prize is a refreshing change of pace.
The smaller bracket size is also very cool.
If they were going to do this on a more regular basis I think they would inevitably have to dial down the quality or quantity of the rewards though... giving out 8 of something even as good as a heroic to 5 of every 20 people is likely too generous to do weekly.
If we want to see a more rewarding prize in the weekly rounds we might need to accept a prize that is more difficult to come by... like something awarded to only the #1 finisher (and where they received only 1 of them).0 -

Like Will and Hi-Fi have pointed out, if they did 20 person brackets EVERY week even the casuals would have max covered 3-stars really quickly and get bored with the game0 -
The 20 person bracket is probably just to make up for anniversary tokens not dropping in previous events as opposed some permanent change.
I like the idea of making the loaner strong enough to be useful. For a 3* maybe a level 50 base 5/4/4 which would be 75 after level boost.0 -

I think you underestimate the iso needed to max a full roster, and the drop rate of normal tokens. This also fixes TANKING. TANKING!!! HELL YES!0
