I'd say Life of the Party and Avoid (previous Modern Hawkeye passive) are the only ones that can be frustrating where you sometimes wish they wouldn't trigger. Other than that maybe Redwing bugs me that the tile disappearing tends to ruin a potentially good tile match at the start of my turn.

Hood's passive is the clear winner.

Close behind are Anger, Daken's strike tiles and Patch's healing.

Energy Absorption is also elite. It is what makes Captain Marvel, in my opinion, a top 10 character.

Inspiration is great as well, but its conditional to having strike tiles available.

Don't forget that inspiration also boosts defensive tiles also so match Falcon with CMags and/or Spidey/Bullseye and you'll get increased protection from those purple and yellow matches. Captain America and Panther also work well but their protect tiles take longer to activate.

I wouldn't know about it. I don't have black covers, but Life of the Party has ruined my day several times in defence.
