Defensive Team Ups? Last Used or Whats in your Roster?

I'm trying to pin down answer on this one. I've had Fury come down on my head during my pvp sessions at worst possible times.

I know how PVP works and how your defensive team shows up - but what about your defensive team ups? Does the AI pick one from your stable at random (thus it's better to purge all the weak ones constantly) OR does it queue up the last ones you brought to your last fight but DIDN'T use? icon_question.gif

    I'm pretty sure Ice IX explained when they were first released that any AI team just has a randomly chosen Team Up.

    It would be very cool if there were some way to set a defensive TU, definitely a new layer of strategy

    I could see Doom's Technopathic Strike used with Black Panther, or Thunder Strike with any Green user. However, it'd make it incredibly boring on offense though. Some optimal strategy would arise and we'd see the same old 3-5 TU's over and over. Maybe a lvl 270 Avenger's Assemble or Demolition.

    If you can set defensive teamup it'd probably be set to Aggressive Recon all the time.

    Setting your own defensive teamups lets someone set infinite 395 devil dino team-ups on defense and never use them on offense. Please no, just no random may not be ideal but it is better than letting people set them from their stock.

    Random is fine. I purge the weak ones all the time. You always get a new and better one anyway.

    Can someone confirm how your defensive team up is chosen in PVP? Is it still randomly assigned? From your currently owned team ups or from your roster? Thanks!

    It is not from your teamups or from your roster. I am 100% certain about this, because I faced Starlord team-ups before he was introduced. It is assigned from the entire pool of available teamups based on some formula based on who is fighting who. It looks random, though it apparently isn't, technically, but there is nothing you can do to affect what teamups people will see when they attack you.
