Hi all. I notice in other posts, players are saying that they are not too happy about the Anniversary. But, it's not over yet. They did say that it would last a week or so.

Notice he said it would be "a special week". We are just getting started.

The actual "Happy Birthday!" date is October 3rd. As for when Anniversary stuff happens, I'm not allowed to say yet as all that info is going out via more traditional PR means.

Here ICEIX indicates that the Anniversary stuff won't be on the 3rd.

There was also another reference I remember seeing that mentioned it being a week long event, but I couldn't find it.
That does not mean that everything will be done on the 3rd, just that it starts on Oct 3rd and events should start on or around the 10th.
It's like when someone puts on a show or throws a party. They save some of the best stuff for last. A Big Finale` kind of thing. I doubt they would do everything at the very beginning, but rather spread it out. We just have to be patient.

Yes, I know there was a big deal made about it. And a lot of talk about Oct 3rd. And so far, all we've gotten are a few announcements. However, it's not over yet. I honestly believe that the best is yet to come. I may be considered a fool for thinking this, but I still believe there will be more. On the other hand, I could just be foolishly optimistic.

I know this is "technically" about the Anniversary, but I didn't feel as though it belonged in that thread. That thread is full of complaints. This post is the opposite. See, unlike other players starting a thread about how upset they are that nothing was done, this thread is trying to explain that D3 never said exactly when the events start. People, (myself included, in fact I checked the game, here, and google play store several times yesterday looking for an update), just assumed it would all happen on the 3rd. Yet after going back and actually reading what they posted, I understand that I was mistaken.

I would think other posts were locked because they wanted to keep all the complaints in one place. This post is Not a complaint, but my way of pointing out my mis apprehension, and trying to get others to see that what was promised hasn't happened yet.

However, if they wish to lock this thread then that is their decision and I will understand.

EDIT; I did post in that thread btw. Unfortunately, most people were stuck on the 3rd being it. Trying to say otherwise would be a waste of time. Look back when someone posted a fake silhouette with Colossus, Beast and 2 others. ICEIX said it was fake a few times, but people kept talking about about it anyway.

I'm unsure of the reason for the complaints. However, I'm 100% certain there would have been more complaints of the anniversary events were conducted during the season. Waiting till after the season just means players can relax and have fun playing those events.

Bottom line, some people look to complain first without looking at the bigger picture.

The second quote in the OP where IceIX said they'd announce more news through traditional means occurred 3 weeks ago. They've now made a post saying what would actually be included in the anniversary "celebration" and also posted links to the Thoress annoucement/infographic. Seems like the news is released.

I'm as hopeful as the next guy that there's more coming, but at this point there's no reason to believe player hopes over the company's money-first, players second track record. Furthermore IceIX/Hi-Fi have been reading through the announcement thread answering questions, so don't you think they'd mention that there was more coming if that was the case, after seeing people's reactions?

I do hope they prove me wrong, but if the Anniversary pack is anything other than a pack that has Devil Dino at featured rates that we have the wonderful privilege to spend hundreds of dollars on in the hopes of a new 4*, I will be quite surprised.

I'll also echo that this belongs in the stickied thread instead of its own. Just because your opinion is different than most of the people in that thread doesn't mean that the topic being discussed is different.

If the Anniversary pack has the same structure as the "usual" ones, it will clearly show they want to milk the cow...

I just hope not. It would be quite a big disapointment, and more guys would leave the game amongst the veterans.
