So Howcome goons, Dark Avengers etc. are able to summon good guys?? Surely they should be limited to just the bad guys

It does seem kind of odd that a Maggia can summon Fury to attack Steve Rogers. But thats the way the game is. icon_rolleyes.gif
  • Why can a team with Spiderman summon Venom to help?

Why can a team with Human Torch summon Doom to help?

    Why wood Hood help Daredevil?

Do you really want to add limitations to a mechanic that some already find tedious? And before anyone complains about Goons being able to use TUs at all, the reason goons are in the game is the fact that they are allied with the Cabal.

Yeah, I'll take a bit of cognitive dissonance over the endless stream of Sentry and Ares moves (well, I guess Ares and Moonstone moves now that Sentry doesn't show up anymore) that we got when the DAs only had DA teamups.

The only reason this even registered to me is due to Demi Will's justification for not being able to knock out TU CD tiles by eliminating opposing team characters. So I can't knock out a Flame Jet CD by eliminating Patch because it "doesn't fit the story," but Cap throwing a Peacemaker at my head on behalf of the Dark Avengers totally makes sense, right? Riiiiiiiight. icon_lol.gif

Because anything that ensures you take a significant beating is good, and is working as intended. icon_e_smile.gif

Human Torch flies by, lights up the field, and flies on to another part of the battle, or out of reach, or wherever he decides to go. Taking out Patch wont stop that power.

Captain America decides that to accomplish his goal he must form an uneasy truce with his enemy. Very common thing to do in the comic world. So he throws a Peacemaker at your head on behalf of the Dark Avengers.

    Makes sense to me.

Yeah, I never understood why a team-up countdown would be tied to one teammate in particular when the entire point of a TU is that none of the team members actually threw it in the first place.

But what if my head in this particular instance is Cap himself?!? DUN-DUN-DUUUUN!!! icon_e_surprised.gif

The point being I don't really need 'story' to justify either scenario. I just found it funny. Better game mechanics is plenty of reason for me, without cerebral plot-twists or mental gymnastics.
  • I think this is new to this PvE. Previous PvE had the "bad guys" using TUs out of the story pack, so basically villians. Realistically all nodes in DA Heroic should only have access to DA and Cabal members as TUs. It is kinda story breaking when storm pops up to stun someone and let Juggernaut escape.
  • Agreed. I was leaning more towards devils advocate. I just feel that TUs are a mechanic, and there is no need to make it more burdensome by making rules about who should use which TUs.
