Simulator Question

Okay, I've been doing pretty well as far as the simulator for the season goes.

But, just like the other seasons since I've been playing, I've hit a wall where every team is no less than level 94.

My highest level character is only 80.

I just wasted about 400 ISO hitting the skip button on various nodes, to no avail.

What am I supposed to do now? Just not play Simulator mode and lose points?

  • You should be able to beat 94s with 80s. The offense has an advantage in PVP. It might not be easy, it's going to get your guys more beat up than lower-level teams, but you should be able to win these. Just pick high-point opponents (40+ points, if you can find them), and you're not risking much.
  • yeah it's what I started doing out of sheer anger and frustration. lol thanks

You're going to it a wall eventually no matter what. That's the point though. With an underdeveloped roster your progression in any event is limited. We've all faced it and it's just something you have to live with until your roster is better.

The simulator is sort of rough though because the 2* covers don't even start until something like 1600 points, and you'll run into the guys who will trounce you long before that. Sure it's like 3 weeks long but it's pretty much impossible to get a level-appropriate reward.

Amen to that. I had a solid 2* team in season 3 or 4, I think, and was trying to get the 3*s. I hit the wall at around 1800 - started seeing nothing but 3* teams in my nodes. I poked at it a few times trying to get past, but gave up when I was attacked pushing me down below 1700. Since then I haven't really come close.

I believe this wall comes about when the game has trouble matching you against teams appropriate to your MMR, so it widens its search. At least I hope this is the case - if it isn't, then it's just a set total where the game decides "nah, I don't need to set you against teams you can beat anymore." icon_e_smile.gif If it is the former then there's some hope as more people get to your total.

The simulator is a good source of Iso,HP, and points for your season score but the characters it gives are really only attainable by pretty good rosters - at least for the people who need them.
  • The sim rewards are really ****. The tiers for something useful is so damn high.

Agreed. I don't think anyone in the game wants any 1* rewards. Even beginners get so many of them that they are redundant. If they could at least give 2* from 400+ that would be nice.

The progression rewards are terrible but you do tend to get a healthy drop rate of 2*s from simulator battles. I only went up to 300 before tanking and I must have got 5 or more 2* covers. If nothing else, a handy source of ISO

You now gave me an idea. Maybe they can keep the rewrads as they are, but, they can have several 3* drop as random rewards from nodes. I am not saying remove the 2* rewards. I am saying to add some 3* in there as well. This can be the only event that has this feature, but it would be a considerable source of 3* covers for new players that can't yet compete. The 3* can be some old ones it doesn't matter. But it will certainly make the Simulator far more enjoyable to know that you have a chance at a 3*. Just sayin'.

The chance of getting a 2* cover is already low. And the chance of getting a 2* cover that you need is even lower from those random drops.
