How to effectively rotate my chars in featured pvps?

So I'm starting to shy away from "OMG USE OBW + ARES AND SPEND EVERY HEALTH KIT UNTIL I RUN OUT" for the PVPs; and I'm trying to figure out the best way to use my time and health packs. So far my general strat is to run Cstorm + MN Mags until I run out of health packs, then rotate to lil torch + daken, then OBW + Wolive until I'm bored and end on OBW + Ares.

I'm not really sure if this is optimal though, as I find myself blowing through my packs really quickly. So my question is, how should I be spending my time and health packs during the featured pvps?

I don't have any 3*s worth using as of yet, fwiw.

  • I would think you could squeeze in more games with A.Wolvie and baby Daken together seeing as they both can run for a while, even if A.Wolvie stays at 50% health. In the current PvP, A.Wolvie and Daken can even use blue and red if your IM 40 has 2 covers in yellow and can recharge both. Just red is fine, too.
You can run Wolvie/Ares to use the yellow you collect, and switch between their greens depending on who your target is, and Wolvie's red is usually better. Wolvie can even tank all Ares' colours and be kept at 50% while Ares only takes small Sunder self-damage. Wolvie/Thor can also work. Daken/oBW are very good too if the 3rd can use 3 of green/red/black/yellow. Thor/mHawkeye and Thor/cStorm are other usable if slow-ish teams of 2.
I'd say your order of teams looks quite alright. How many fights can you usually do before having to put the game down? Consider leveling a 2nd oBW if slots are not an issue.
  • I can generally go until I run out of targets to attack. I hit a wall with 2XX feature/1XX/1XX teams which happens between like 550 and 620ish; which kinda screws me out of getting top 100 generally.
  • When are you entering PvP? Unless you're trying to tank your MMR a bit, entering early isn't a good option. I say this because when you enter later you end up in weaker brackets, and when you enter earlier you tend to end up in stronger brackets.

I try to enter as late as possible, usually about 10 hours before the event ends. Achieving similar scores to your own nets me a top 50 usually. I ranked 32 in the L-daken event with a score of 660, though I ended up winning about 30-40 points from defensive wins after I used my shields.

My style is a minimalist play time style and it typically nets me high ranking if not high progression. The downside is that my MMR goes to **** but that usually isn't much of a problem.

    Usually.
  • Hmm I may have to do that. I was roughly 620 in ldaken and ended at 98. I really wanted a non blue Psy cover icon_e_sad.gif
