Tired...

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm growing increasingly frustrated with these roster specific events. It especially gets on my nerves when winning new characters is on the line and I'm only able to use 5 of my 24 heroes to compete. I admit, it is nice that some of the powered up characters are made available, but then roster slots come into play. Can't all tournaments just allow for the full use of characters with some powered up instead having to look at 3/4 of my roster locked?

  • I actuallyy don't mind it, provides a chalange, which is what the heroics have always been about.
  • I like the fact that it rewards a diverse roster as opposed to a roster in which someone dumped all of their resources into 2 or 3 characters only.

    *cough* Sentry *cough*
    *cough* Daken *cough*
    *cough* Hood *cough*

What? Don't look at me like that!!!! icon_e_smile.gif
  • I have an incredibly diverse roster (21, soon to be 22, people all at level 150, plus 3 more maxed at 140 and one soft capped at 127) and I'm absolutely sick to death of heroics. They used to be rare. I wish they still were.

This is where my collecting/addiction OCD really comes in handy. icon_e_biggrin.gif

I kind of agree with both sides on this. On the one hand I support limited roster events and the challenge they present. On the other hand I think they are a little too limiting and should allow more characters in the pool.

These Heroics as an example, we are allowed to use only 8 characters out of (soon to be) 50. Those 8 usually include 2 of the 1* characters that many players outside of beginners and ardent collectors have relinquished due to tight rosters/expansion costs. Add that to the increasing difficulty of the event and tight health pack budget and it gets a bit more than tedious.

I still support the limited roster events and still support the devs hand picking the characters that can be used, but I wish they'd open it up a bit. Maybe 12 - 16 characters for example.

I really like the roster restricted events....as long as things are well thought out. This one appears to be as far as the roster selection, but then they went and scaled the event based on who knows what. Ive wiped a few times already because my restricted roster is not representative of my overall roster, which the scaling seems to be based on so Im too weak for the AI. And the scaling has just gone up. If I cant do the nodes now, how does scaling them up make them any easier?

Essentially my issue is not with the event, but the scaling.
  • I really like limited roster events and having a good reason to use some of the characters that aren't necessarily A listers or perfect for PvP. That said, I am getting a little tired of doing the same prologue missions over and over. Why not Heroic The Hunt? or Heroic Simulator?

Personally I like the limited rosters. It emphasizes roster diversity and makes my leveling as many heroes to a usable level a worthwhile decision.

What makes me tired though is the week long pve. Wish it was just a couple days but thats just me not liking to grind every x amt of hours every day for an entire week. I got things to do D3 just give me my doc ock covers already icon_lol.gif
  • I have 39 chars available and I don't remember I didn't have at least 3 ok chars to use in a heroic. Usually 2 "ok" 2* chars get buffed and they sweep most of the opposition. Even 2* Cap and Moonstone can work wonders when buffed. Of course if you maxed them.

    Nope!

I love 'em because newbies actually have a chance when the roster is limited. It's great for new players.
