Can't seem to send ISO to my girlfreind

I got my girlfriend to play the game.
I am trying to send her ISO and its been a pain. She has an apple I phone 5 and we cant seem to figure out the correct facebook settings or game settings to allow her to get my gifts of ISO and other stuff I might send to her.
On facebook on the computer app (not mobile app which she prefers) she does get a notification, and she clicks on accept and it just sends her the app stores to download the game which she already has. What can we do?
She also gets a message that says I have sent her a request, but all it does is launches the game, and she gets no gift iso or character or anything.
Please help.
