Increased Sale Prices Ending For Updated Characters (R60)

Greetings all,

We'd like to give you a heads-up that the increased sale prices for Daken (Classic), Daken (Dark Avengers Wolverine), Hawkeye (Modern) and Magneto (Classic) will be reverting to normal when the R61 update goes live.

As you may have noticed, when we make significant changes to characters the in-game sale price for affected characters is often temporarily increased. In this case, after the recent R60 balance updates made to Daken (Classic), Daken (Dark Avengers Wolverine), Hawkeye (Modern) and Magneto (Classic), players who have elected to sell these characters may have seen increased amounts of Iso-8 and Hero Points offered. (The amount offered varies, depending on how high players have leveled the heroes in question).

It's our hope that after spending some time with the updated characters you'll want to hang onto them, but If you are dissatisfied with the changes and wish to sell, you'll want to do so within the next few days.

I thought this was a bug. Instead of increased sale price can we get a free respec? Waiting to get the covers I need after already waiting so long to get them in the first place is a real piss off.

IceIX replied some days ago, saying it would be not possible.

Gave this a thumbs up as the increased communication is greatly appreciated. Getting info on upcoming changes even if they are small helps so much with customer relations, makes us feel like we are valued instead of a commodity.

Currently you still can. My Daken is worth 150 HP. Once the next update goes out they will go back down to their normal sell price.

Already gave my DaKitten the axe, and sold Mokeye for a respec. Decided to keep MagCheatO as, while no longer broken-tier, still has quite a bit of playability.

Anyone who sells X-Fixed(formerly known as X-Farce) deserves exactly what they get.

I've been able to sell Mawkeye two extra times with the covers I've won after selling the original. He is a great character, but hp doesn't grow on trees and covers do.

To all concerned,

A brief note to let you know that your time for selling Daken (Classic), Daken (Dark Avengers Wolverine), Hawkeye (Modern) and Magneto (Classic) for increased amounts has been slightly extended.

I can't provide specific dates/times for when pricing will revert to normal (with R61) because that's still in flux. That said, even with additional time added, if you wish to sell, you should do so very soon.

There's now an in-game popup that says the increased sell price ends tomorrow. Kudos for the popup, it's way better than telling us here and not in game where everyone will see it regardless of whether they come to the forum or not.

Edit: it specifically says the price returns to normal Tuesday Sep. 23rd, so act now if you want the hp. There's no knowing whether it'll end at midnight tonight or 9am or what (and which time zone, etc). So better safe than sorry.

You told us it would be with R61, right? Yesterday, there was nothing about it when I played. No in-game message. I'm in EU. And, today the in-game pop-up tells me the prices will revert to normal on 23rd where it's already 23rd. I think something went wrong with the timing. Can you extend it one more day for EU?

Players should begin seeing character sale prices (for the heroes previously mentioned) reverting to normal today - Tuesday, Sep 23, 2014.

Apologies for the slight scheduling change. The original intent was to revert the prices when R61 went live. However, after 4 days notice and a suggestion to sell "within the next few days," the prices have now changed in advance of the R61 update.

Since the sale is ending prior to the update; I take it that we will finally have C Mags or L Daken rewards shortly. I'm pretty sure ICEIX had mentioned them being rewards shorlty after the R60 in lieu of free respecs. Given the sale prices it would be understandable that this was the delay for these rewards being available.
