Seriously? I havent made it above ~200 in about 3 PVEs....yet Im still seeing significant scaling w/o the help of RB. "Mountains" is over 150, and Im sitting at #305 in my bracket after clearing the rest of them this refresh.0 -
I have the "Mountains" node at lv.170 and I found it pretty simple. Bring CMags, cast yellow, and the shields will protect you from the majority of strike tile and world rupture damage.
I felt the "Iso-8?" node was much more difficult and put the player at the mercy of the cascade gods. If the AI scores a lucky chain of red and green, and deadpool and devil dino attack you, there's not much you can do.0 -
Used MMags-CStorm-Hawkeye with 3AP
Computer rewarded me for my bravery by starting me with 90% (57/64) boards.
Still got through both (Sentry lvl 113, Deadpool 130). Scrounged enough blue to effectively stunlock Sentry and Dino long enough to get Polarity/Speedshot launched.
Wasn't pretty; cost 3 healthpacks and benched them for the rest of the nodes, but it worked.0 -

Out of curiousity, what is your highest leveled character?0 -

Im much more the offensive-get-the-match-over-fast type mentality, but Ive been considering bringing Loki and Cmag along with Patch to deal with Mountains. My thinking is that if I can get enough black Ill change the strike tiles to shields, use CMag for more to ward off WR and Patch to tank. havent looked up the damage numbers yet to see who tanks (fingers crossed its Patch!). Any advice/tweaks are appreciated.0 -
How to beat the doom node: cStorm plus any two characters, don't keep her in front. You just won.0
-
The sentry node I use patch/Ares/obw. Patch can tank all of Ares colours while healing so Ares can go nuts and obw can steal everything and do 2k + damage per match when patch casts berserk. The dino deadpool death node on the other hand is crazy. Can't take obw to steal since one chomp from the dino would kill her. Ignoring purple meant that I take 3k + aoe damage from dp. Had to fully boost a cstorm mnmag to pray for 2 wind storms before I get wiped. 5 wipeouts later on various teams finally punctured through. Not something that I'm looking forward to ever doing again.0

Like all others that have claimed to easily defeat this node, I had a shiny Hood, though Punisher was the one doing all the heavy lifting.0

I had good luck in this node with the following team:
Spiderman
Punisher
Falcon
If you manage to match purple twice, you actually *want* the enemy to cast as many world ruptures as possible, as they'll be taking far more damage than you than with each world rupture. I just beat the node with world rupture being cast six times, and each time it did a ton more damage to the enemy than it did to my team. I did my best to deny yellow to keep sacrifice off the board (and each match in yellow helped out all three of my team with inspiration, strike tiles from punisher, protects tiles from spiderman and falcon) I let the enemy match as much green as its little heart pleased, as long as I had two 115+ protect tiles out on the board in reasonably safe locations.0 -
SpiderMan, Falcon, Patch for me.0

For Sentry node Spidey/MoStorm/GSBW. Match as much before WR, deny and pray WR doesn't cascade into colors you are denying. At first, let Storm use to gather AP to have more control over the board.
For DP node LThor/cStorm/GSBW. Gather and , flood the board with . Let Storm blow up half the board. That should bring enough AP for another cycle. In the mean time, enough is gathered to stun and speed things up.0 -

I don't think so, but I suppose it's possible.
I ran them each a few times like that. Next go around I wiped on both with similar starting boards. Then I finally got some purple heavy boards and cleared them fairly easily, with easily meaning Dino only managed to one-shot one of them, and/or it preferred the Clap over the Bite.0 -
Doom node: I used Patch, DP, and GSBW. I go after Doom first. If Doom gets black off, as soon as DP has higher health, he'd LOTP for everyone. You just have to make sure you kill Doom before he casts black again or match away some of the red attack tiles so the damage does not overwhelm DP.
Sentry Node: This one gave me the most problems. I wiped the first two times I tried it. Then, I got serious and never lost again (although I did not touch it my final run through as health was better used for other nodes). I used 213 X-force, 127 C Mags, and 102 Falcon. I used C Mags yellow and Falcon Puple to limit strike and CD tiles, while I killed Sentry first (often I kill green feeding goon first, but the only one he was feeding was Sentry, so the goon could wait for this one). I do not remember if I took out Daken our Goon next, probably goon, and denied daken blue.
DP Node: I used X-Force, C-Mags, and Hood/LT. If use LT he can tank while other gain colors as well as make more green tiles before x-force uses black. Hood could help deny Hulk/DD green and red. First, deny green at evey opportunity. Second, if no green to deny, deny red. Kill DP first, not only will this stop him from blocking big attacks, but Hulk and DD's strongest color is green which is great for Xforce black. Also, DP has the lowest health. Next, take out DD. Often, if I used Hood, the AI would collect enough yellow to feed my Hood quickly to use his yellow. After DD gone, it's all cake. Collect enough AP to down hulk.0 -
I personally used Spiderman as a direct counter to Sentry. A couple of matches and I got to laugh at Sentry as his World Rupture did 1 point of damage per tile.0
