What affects the PVE difficulty?

I currently have all the 2 Stars maxed, and have most of the 3 Stars. If I level my 3 Stars to 94, will that affect the enemy difficulty? And just maxing one 3 star would be a bad idea?

It's not based on roster, it's based on how well you (and everyone else) plays each node.

Hmm, I've actually heard from some people that the base level at which nodes start is reliant on the level of your highest leveled character.

I've heard that too, but the developers have insisted that's not the case.
  • *Supposedly*, the PVE difficulty is based on a formula which includes a few things.

    1. Your performance in the current PVE so far in comparison to the rest of the MPQ universe
    2. Your performance in the past few PVEs, which is adjusted downward slightly after each PVE
    3. The global performance of all MPQ players on certain nodes

All the nodes become more difficult over time, but typically the highly available nodes which are being farmed heavily are the ones that see a major spike in difficulty.

Required character nodes tend to have more stable difficulty because fewer people have access to them, ESPECIALLY when they involve newly available heroes like Colossus.

I thought I understood what was going on with PVE scaling....but after the Jug Heroic I just dont know. In the PVE prior I think I was around 400, wiping my roster more than actually competing. I joined the Jug Heroic late(ish) but with community scaling I was facing lvl ~170 Dakens already.
Due to the significant damage I was taking I only got a few matches before my health packs were gone. I was also wiping my available roster before quitting....and the levels still kept going up. They were over 220 by the end, and I was outside the top 200. How is that scaling related to how I was doing?

Due to selling Daken and 2* Hawk I had a couple extra roster slots so I even built extra chars that were available for the Heroic just to suicide them.....

Not sure about PvE, but alliance mates that have maxed a single character to 166 have said PvP has become considerably harder since doing so.

Myself, I have around 24 (give or take a couple) level 94 characters, mixed between 2-4*, and the nodes in PvE are very manageable. In the last two where scaling was really heavy you can get leveled out of being able to clear them, but that's really just a last 12-24 hr thing.
