Losing points in PVE

I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but I keep losing points in PVE. I'll complete a mission and the points tally. I'll make a note of how many points I have so that I know how far I have to go to the next progression reward. Then I go into another mission and when I beat it, the points tally but start lower than where I finished the last fight. And it's not a couple points, it's been off by over a thousand. I've had this happen multiple times in multiple PVE's. Help please?

    The tally after a match is frequently way off - it'll often basically double the points it says you'll get, but correct it at the next screen. I'm not sure if this is a rubberbanding estimate error or something else. In any case, that screen is useless and should be ignored.
