Points disappearing

Okay,
Not sure about this but I know in tournaments if you get attacked, your points disappear. Does that effect your season total for total points earned? I was 5 pts away from the 4000 pts for the season at 4AM. Wake up at noon and check my score and its now 300 pts away. Send a tech message for it and then go back and try to get my points back up, get it to 175 away. Then play a game again, check on it and now its 200 away. WTH?
