I hate to be "that guy", and I really do like the new smilies, but how about board updates that are actually useful? Like spam control.

This probably would take me maybe fifteen minutes - frankly, writing the post to tell us probably took longer than actually implementing it. Finding, installing, configuring, etc a spam filter is not something you can just sit down and do in an hour --- especially since most of the best phpBB spam filters require a monetary investment, so in that case, he would have to get approval.

Give them some breathing room. They're clearly doing things to improve our experience.

If you go in to the suggestions forum and look back a few months you'll see multiple posts from multiple experience phpBB board mods/runners detailing a number of free and effective ways to control spam. None of which would take more then 10 minutes to configure.

I would gladly take this board against Bullseye. He will die to crits before he can get going, and you will be matching the generated shield tiles early. Sure you get a pile of purple you can't use, but abilities aren't the only way to skin a dark avenger.
