I'll start. Was running a Daken/XForce/Loki team.

Hood Thor Loki wiped me out. I didn't even manage to take down Hood. I saw easy yellow at the start and went for it, but Thor had the same idea.

I don't remember the specifics, but it was 166 Hulk that was the problem - misjudged a world rupture and he had 900 hit points and about that many anger tiles out after.

I played an OBW/Spiderman/Punisher team yesterday in SHIELD Simulator. I was running Hulk/LCap/LThor (tons of HP, I can't lose!). All characters were above 100 and the opponents Punisher was way up above 150.

Had enough red early on to kill OBW with Mjolnir's Might but decided to wait for one more red match to get Star-Spangled Avenger. Horrible decision since OBW pulled off AR which fed Spidey's stun and Punisher's Judgement/Retribution.

Long story short I was able to kill off OBW and Spidey but Punisher was dealing some serios damage with his low-cost abilities and high attack tiles. Thor was last one standing and I had Punisher down to 2000hp but didn't have the necessary AP to finish him.

That's what I get for being greedy with my red AP...lesson learned

Ignore purple for green/black at your own peril.

Loki - 270 X-Force - 270 Fury. I went up against them with a maxed Thor and Daken. Almost won the match, but Fury got his traps down and that did me in.

I lost to Loki, Patch, Dare Devil. I used patch and had my berserker rage turned against me with trickery, then I got hit with Berserker rage and illusion. I was using Cmags and I got his yellow powers out 3 times to try and survive but match damage fianlly killed me.

I got 5 defensive wins of that combo during this PvP, it was only up as it was the least heavy on Health packs to climb with, so your not the only one.

Just had a Total Party Kill in SHIELD Sim:

I was using L Daken + Hood + Sentry, fully Boosted to try to get to 1900 for the last bit of Hero Pts. Only L Daken was full Hit Points, the other two were down a couple thousand. I thought, just one more then I'll heal up later (was out of Health Packs).

I was going up against <new> C. Mags, L Thor, Hood. No Green board for me, board was full of Blue and Red, even boosted it was ugly loss due to the cascade potential of C. Mags Red. Very damaging as well compared to previously, since when he hit me with it, it took off ~2500 due to having 8+ TU tiles on the board, then the cascade hit. It might have been ok had he then not gotten a 5 match into a Thunder strike into Call the Storm

Be careful against C.Mags bearing Hoods.... and getting greedy instead of healing up when you can.

Also <new> C. Mags is Much Better on Defense than previously....

Just wiped on an Ares/baby Daken/loaner Loki team.

Running 110 Patch, Ares and a buffed 110 Loki. Matched black to have Berserker, Rampage, and Trickery all ready to go and virtually end the game. And that's when my chain reaction of dumb dumb andbad luck hit.

Chem Reaction out of nowhere followed by a 20AP cascade wiped out Loki. (I forgot Daken had the power since I haven't gotten a cover yet).

Saw AI had Sunder and Onslaught ready now so I held one more turn. Apparently they also had an Aggressive Recon teamup ready that I was unaware of since I don't scroll over to see what I will get hit with.

Dropped Berserker but needed two more turns to find the red match for Rampage. Match back under control, both Patch and Ares below 1000 health, but they are down to Ares at 400 with nothing ready.

Match3, drops a Match3, drops a Match5 Green. Ares down, extra turn means Onslaught - tinykitty me.

Yup, I had finally eliminated most of the enemy strikes, and then they pulled off a perfect patch->loki maneuver.

Hehe, that's been my main climbing team in the Loki tournament, and I've had more defensive wins with that team than any in recent memory. I think Spiderman's purple makes people angry, because people usually just ignore post-funbalance Spiderman (but wait, I'm suddenly doing 1 damage a match? RAAAAAARRR!), and you start matching faster and more angrily and less carefully, and before you know it the board is a maze of beefy protect tiles. Then, you finally get enough green to counteract those stupid protect tiles with berserker rage but you forgot about... Trickery. The board went from awful to tinykitty. I know because I've wiped against the same team doing just that exact thing.

Yeah, I love it how when the AI does Berserker Rage into Illusions, it creates a cascade from hell that wipes you out, but when you try it, all it does is match your own strike tiles...

Tonight, I slaughtered a heapload of Sentry/Daken/Hood teams. Deadpool/XForce/Hood is very good at taking them down.

Then I continue a run in squirrel's The Gauntlet -- and get killed by 1* Hawkeye + Shield. Oh, the shame.
A few minutes later, my back-up team gets killed by 2* Captain America. He was tossing his shield around on a lousy board and kept XForce stun-locked. DIed.

I agree, the X-Force/Deadpool/Hood combo can be scary! I got a bad starting board and quickly found myself sliced, diced, and puréed.
