Question: Quitting/Rejoining Alliances

I'm commander of a friends and family alliance but many have fallen off the game. Perhaps only getting 5-6 daily players now.
It's been nice not to feel pressured to do well, so I can play my own game and join when I want to maximize prizes (vs. Need to Grind for alliance placement.)

But I'm curious to dip my feet in to the top pool-- I've been consistently competitive most of the last few seasons (900+ per pvp, top 5-10 pve) and I'm sure could find a spot in a top 100 alliance --

But question is this- if you quit your own alliance, can they invite you back later?
Can I make it public before I leave and jump back after season's end?

As long as there's another commander in the alliance, yes, you can leave and then after a cool off period (I believe it's something like a half-hour if you leave, a full day if you're kicked) you can re-apply to your private alliance and the other commander can approve you.

So if you are the only commander, you'll need to promote someone else before you leave. I don't think making the alliance public is a good strategy -- chances are a random player will join the alliance by the time you want to re-join.

And TerranDominion does have a spot open, so keep us in mind if you do decide to make the switch for awhile. icon_e_smile.gif

That makes sense -- otherwise the multiple alliance and tournament end-loading strategies that seem to be going for the 5Deadly / X-Men / etc. groups wouldn't be effective.

    Thanks! I'll send PM.
