AI double move/background health pack generation

I've noticed this frequently in the last couple of days where the AI makes a move, follows with a power, team up or cascade and then proceeds to make another move before the player is given their turn. At first, I thought I wasn't paying attention but it happens quite a bit. It even happened in the last PvP fight I had. AI's Thor made a yellow match, uses Thunder Strike followed by Call the Storm causing a cascade and proceeds to make another move when I haven't even made my move yet.

Additionally, when the game is left on in the background, the counter on the health packs freezes up. There have been multiple times where I have a character's health being restored coinciding with when all five health packs being restore. I put the time on a timer and come back to a character's health being restored but the counter and health packs still where they were when I left off.
