GMT Timezone
The last three pvp events have finished at 6am GMT.
Please could we get some that end at 8pm?
Even ending at 6pm GMT doesn't allow for people to get home from work to play the final hours and with their being no account syncronisation between pc (steam) game accounts and phone accounts there isn't a way of doing it 'on the road' so to speak (for the 6pm finishes).

As an East Coast US person, I support this. I'd rather do my last push on my lunch break from work than have to stay up past midnight in order to place decently.0

Do the people that make this game even read this forum?
All the posts I have read seem to have no official response of any kind.
Really annoyed right now, just found out that i dropped 150 places in the venom heroic, I went from 25th (with a beast card) to 175th (without a beast card) in the 6 hours that are inconvenient for a UK audience, especially on a weeknight.
Despite being rather addicted to this game, I am considering quitting just down to the shear frustration of losing at the last minute because I 'live in the wrong part of the world'. Whats the point in putting in X hours grind getting TWICE the amount of points than awards were given for to lose to the last minute hoppers that you can't compete with because its in the middle of your REM cycle!
*sigh* I doubt this post will even be seen by those with power anyways as I'm not the only person asking for this and all these posts seem to go unanswered officially.
P.S please remove the spam bots from this forum.0 -
As an Australian, don't even get me started 2PM on a Tuesday is rubbish. I would have to take off 1-2PM and 9-10am on a workday. to get in the last 2 clears, I went from 1st to 255th. Every PVE should end 4 hours later cumulative, its the only fair way without time zones. Or give us a damn Oceanic server.0

I just posted this in another thread but i think its just as useful here.
Suggestion 1 have all PVE events finish on a Weekend.
Im a EU player and if an event is finishing on a Sunday morning at 4 or 5 am (GMT) I don't mind getting up early or going to bed late as im not going to work later that day so i can sleep in or nap during the day. Im sure most of the EU player base would be the same (your still going to get a few who have to work weekends) but at least then the majority of players would be in a position where they could be competitive till the end of the event
I will take the Heroic Venom event as a perfect example for me the event ended at maybe 3 or 4 am on a Tuesday morning. I had to get up for work at 6.30am so i had to go to sleep at 11pm on the Monday. Just before i went to sleep i was in 3rd place when i woke up i was 247th place.
Now was i expected to stay up and let my job be effected as would have had little to no sleep? but as stated in suggestion 1 if it had been on a weekend it wouldn't have mattered and maybe just maybe i would have got the beast that i had spent 3+ days working my butt off to be in a good place to get the reward i was aiming for.
Suggestion 2 EU/US Brackets/Events.
Im sure the player base is large enough that you could put a section in the settings where we select what zone we are in EU/US or a way to pull the information from our IPs we play the game from
This then ensures we are put in an event with other people who are also in the same zone, EU vs EU and Us vs US at least this way we are all playing with people who are roughly within our own time zones and when im asleep most of the people im against will also be asleep.
Im sure either of these solutions wouldn't be too difficult to implement and would hopefully improve moral for the majority of EU players.0 -
Signed.
It's an absolute nonsense.
Even if they just got rid of rubberbanding, at least if you did grind up towards the top you should be ok to miss a couple of hours at the end for sleep0 -

Rubber-banding to catch up on a few days of missed play is fine (and you probably want that, actually).
The real problem is rubber-banding during the final end-stretch, which messes royally with final placement for players that have to do an early final push because they cannot manage to play the last 2 or so hours.
Imho rubber-banding should just be tapered off during the last 12 hours of an event until it's completely gone for the final stretch.
(Rubberbanding should be tuned down gradually and with randomized measures for each event, so that people cannot pinpoint an exact point at which it switches off. Otherwise we'd simply see a shift of the final rush to just before the point in time where rubberbanding is turned off.)
Other than that: Signed!
(But it still won't do any good: The developer has gone on record before as not investing effort for markets other than the US because of cost-benefit issues.)0 -

So if anybody else in the US hates midnight/1AM finales, speak up!0 -

I don't like the 1am finishes, but pretty sure the 3 hours earlier that I would prefer doesn't do Europe any favors either.0 -
1am finish would be like a velvet dream for Australians, with chocolate and marshmallow clouds of gold rain. stay up a little late, NP, as opposed to lose your job if you want to compete.0

The whole server thing won't happen. There's too much overhead in that for a small company.
The problem with separate end times is you need a mechanism to actually separate people into those groups. The easiest/most common way to do with is to use different gateways for each region and have the user choose which region they are a part of (i.e. LoL and a lot of MMOs). Other than having to recode a lot of things, there is also now the need to segregate each of these player bases from each other, which is not inherently bad per se, but it's something to think on.
I think _RiO_ is on point here, though. I'd say the last 20% of an event should have no rubberbanding (i.e. for a 24 hour event just under the last five hours would be 'unbanded') and the 10% before that should show diminishing rubberband 'returns' (i.e. about two and a half hours before rubberband blackout). In a 48 hour event, this would put rubberbanding diminishing at about 7 hours before the event ended (11pm for OP) and rubberbanding ended at about five hours before the event ended (around 1am for OP).0
