Hi

I just did maths and calculated, that if you want to max out one 3* character in MPQ, it would cost you approx 350$.

1250 HP per cover = 12500 HP for fully covered 3 star character = approx 90$
172764 ISO to max lvl a 3 star character = approx 260$

What can you buy for 350$ (or local currency equivalent) in your country?

Where I live it can be 1 month rent of decent flat for single person or young couple; or 16 dinners for two in solid restaurant. It also represents approx 1 third of average monthly salary

Good! It should be expensive if you want to max it without doing any gameplay for it. Otherwise more P2W people would run roughshod over regular players.

$350 is closer to 1/2 rent for a room, 1/3 rent for a small apartment here.
  • Pretty much the same in terms of rent for a decent flat, or it would pay off my car loan for about 2 months.

For most of the vets, the cost of fully maxing a 3* char is the time it takes to participate in the PVE where it is introduced (let's say 7 days of moderate playing - 16 hours?), then get T5 in the first PVP where it's on offer (about... 3 hours all in all?), getting to 1100 in the PVP where he is featured (another 3 hours) and then getting the rest of the covers in the next PVP where the covers are the prizes (3 hours).
If you're in a top 100 alliance, then you should have 13 covers after that.
If you save up ISO, then you get the 170K it takes to max the char during the time you accumulate the covers.

Of course, that leaves you with about say... 25 hours of playing time. Which (depending on what you make in an hour) probably equals about EUR 250,-
Huh, so the price is actually not that crazy.

Agree, agree, but there are others than veterans, not having maxed out 3* chars already on rooster and getting to top 5 will consume much more play hours and of course as well shielding, which also represents $ hidden in HP. But it is an interesting thought - how much money you would have earned if you'd instead of playing MPQ actually worked icon_e_smile.gif (I'd be millionaire by now icon_e_biggrin.gif )

You could buy yourself a very nice high-end action figure of this year's breakout movie stars: Rocket and Groot.

Yup, their IAP packages are broken and stupid.

For $99.99 worth of coins you should be able to cover max THREE 3* characters from 1/1/1 to 13. That's a minimum of 37,500 coins.

The $99.99 ISO8 pack should just be 1 million, period.

    In Southern California, that wouldn't even cover a week's rent . . . about 5 days.
  • All 21 Volumes of the Walking Dead ($315+tx).

All 9 Volumes of Invincible in HC ($325+tx).

I would say thats about the same as over here for me... for $350, you'd be lucky to get a place for 5 days in a very small apartment... and i'm not talking about anywhere near a high-class area...

Then again, living in a place which is ranked i think top 3 most expensive places in the world to own / rent property doesn't help...
  • 350$ are roughly 260 euros....

Well, the 5-day rent thing applies here as well in a flat that would be around 20m2 maximum (around Paris, I mean).

Other than that, you can buy 200 liters of gasoline or 173 liters of unleaded.
Or it would pay your phone bill for about a year (unlimited calls, SMS, mms, and around 3 gb of data every month)

    Nice one!
  • For £220 I could buy 110 copies of Skyrim (at it's current £2 sale price), or pretty much every decent game in the upcoming Steam sales.

No-one ever said that spending big in these kind of games (or TCG's/CCG's for that matter) was a pursuit for a sane person. I know of some people who spent over £1000 a month on mobile games to fuel the addiction. Hell, I took a year off work to play World of Warcraft which cost me over £50k in wages!

You can't rationalise this stuff... BUT... ISO prices are pretty damn high. On the other hand, I've never brought any ISO and still have 8 maxed 3*'s and not far off maxing a few more so ISO should be considered a luxury purchase because it sure as hell isn't necessary.

For me $350 is 1/2 of my monthly car payment. Just under 1/3 of my mortgage payment. Almost 2/3 of my monthly grocery bill for a family of 4. Nearly twice what I've spent on this game in the 152 days I've been playing.
