POLL: What Event do you want to see more of?

There are many events listed in the Events forum. There are many ideas for events listed in the Suggestions forum. Combined Arms, with 1+2+3 teams, is one that was requested awhile ago, and we've finally gotten it.
I'll bet $1 that we'll see a repeat of one or more of the events listed in this poll. Which ones would you like to see?
If anyone is feeling adventuresome, trawl through the suggestions and find 15 good Event/Tourney suggestions and make a list / poll for them.

Would like to see the Heroic PvE methodology in the Simulator. Random teams, you get 8 characters to figure out how to beat them.
Overall, the more dynamics that encourages people to put down their Sentry/Daken and Patchneto combos and win without a broken mechanic, the better.0 -
The Mandatory Character events include:
Army Of One, Blind Justice, Cage Match, Category-5, Doctor's Orders, Fatal Attraction, First Avenger, Fly-Fight-Win, God Of Lies, Heavy Metal, Hollowpoint Kiss, Hot Shot, Lord of Thunder, Magnetic Mayhem, Predator and Prey, Starfall, Top Gun, Trial By Combat, Unholy Outlaw, Weapon Tex-Mex, Webslinger
Zero votes for these so far? Yeah, I suppose I'm tired of them, too. With Team-ups they're worse, collecting Team-Ups from the mandatory character that can't be used.
Jungle, Lab, Mountains -- used to be you could plan an environment strategy. Now, all nodes are blandly the same. They could at least color-type the nodes. Red/Green, Purple/Black, Blue/Yellow. If you enter that node, you must have a Team-Up of that color, and one will be selected randomly from the ones you have. Your opponent will have a Team-up of that color.0 -
I voted for the two new ones, since I want them much, much more than any of the other picks.
What I'd really like to see more than anything else would be:
1. A single player campaign
2. More persistent replayable content - something like a random team generator you can play against for standard pvp prizes (that is, ISO or 1*-2* covers) as much as you want, or a more interesting version of the SHIELD simulator
3. PVEs based on classic stories
4. More match formats - Alliance vs. alliance, actual, seeded tournament style tournaments, non-ranked PVE, etc.0 -
I think a mode where 3 characters are chosen at random against 3 other characters chosen at random and you get a loaned 1/1/1 if you don't have that character would be interesting. There can be some kind of overriding criteria on the team to make it less random, like say the characters chosen randomly must be a 1* + 2* + 3*, or they must all be female, or all Avengers, and so on.0

There have been limited roster PvP events. They weren't all that popular.
Divine Champions required "god" characters.
Ladies Night required female characters.
Lone Star required 1* characters.0 -

That's because the limited selection usually forces you into a single team if you want to compete.
But if everyone has to pick their teams at random, Storm + IW + Psylocke isn't necessarily any weaker than OBW + Yelena + Moonstone. They'd all be weaker than Psylocke + Storm + OBW but you can't just pick that team.
I thought about it some more and here's what I come up with.
Your team will be chosen at random out of possibly some predefined criteria (1* only, Avenger only, whatever) against an oppoenent picked the same way. It uses your roster but if you don't have a certain character you get a loaned guy.
You get points equal to the combined total level of your opponent, and if you lose you lose points equal to the combined total levels of your team.
Being attacked by another player has no ramifications to your score in this mode other than opening up a retaliation.
People will still be matched by their score since people with very high scores are likely to have very strong teams even when picked randomly.
All characters start at full health if they're not downed. If they are, you'd be given the option to use a health pack if a downed character was selected, or you can still use the loaner.
There won't be any progression rewards until this event is ran a few times to see what kind of score, if any, people tend to settle on. It'd seem after a while your points will settle to some level because there should be a pretty significant risk of losing when your team is picked at random against opponents with high calibur random teams.0 -
Randomized teams would be great. In PvE we get the same Dark Avengers groups over and over and over, and while there's more variety in PvP, you still see the same power combos repeat a bunch of times. Not to mention that if it's a featured-character event, there are only two slots that can vary.0

Voted for new stuff and simulator because it's pretty much new each time by virtue of mixing up the teams. Also Deadpool because it was different and funny and we got to fight heroes for a change. Wanted to vote for sentry, but that wasn't an option by itself.0
-
Simulator and Deadpool have been the most interesting PvE events (most likely due to interesting combinations on quite a few nodes in Deadpool, and definitely in Sim). So those both got votes as well as "new PvE".
As for PvP, everything seems stale and boring. Although we haven't had a Limited Roster type event (Divine Champions, Lone Star, etc.) in a while, those events are very much the haves vs. have nots and definitely do not encourage team diversity. It's the same as LRs - once you have 3 of the buffed heroes, you're only hurting yourself by not using them in those events. No Holds Barred was fun, but we have SHIELD Simulator running all Season long, and that would feel like a bit too much double dipping on that format I think. Not really sure how to add something new/fresh to PvP, but I voted for that option.0 -
I voted in no particular order.
1. Episode 2/2.5 - Mostly because I like The Hulk (when it's not hyper compressed) since you can win tons of HP.
2. Episode 4/4.5 - See above except make it Iso-8 Brotherhood. Prodigal Sun was kinda fun other than the crazy subs ending when some target points are reached.
3. Simulator - It tends to be a fairly fun event and there's a decent amount of HP available.
4. New PvE - New stuff tends to be fun and I really prefer PvE to PvP since I actually can win those.
5. More of the same PvP - Sure it's boring but it's also a known boring quantity. Balance of Power sure sounded fun (for about 3 minutes) then it just became well instead of running my typical 3* team I'll just run my old 1-2* transition team "Yay nostalgia?".0 -
I voted for Balance of Power only because the latest PvP finally pushed me to level Juggernaut and now I wanna use him at level 270.0
-
What I really liked about "PvE - Deadpool vs Marvel Puzzle Quest" is that you had the chance to fight every character there is.0
-
More 'boss' type encounters that require specific tactics to defeat the opponent would be good. The node in the recent Hulk event with Juggs flanked by two goons feeding him green was great (and tricky) because you could either go for trying to stunlock Juggs, attempt a straight nukefest to take him out (and risk getting hit by a sniper shot) or the typical 'raidboss' type tactic of killing the goons feeding him in order to reduce his attacking capability.
It's probably the single most enjoyable node I've faced in PvE for a while. Just a shame it came as part of a terrible overall event.0 -
Prodigal Sun would be good, I need more Sentry covers - I like events where you get a decent cover as a battle reward so no need to place high in PvE (European player so end times are awful)0
-
Balance of Power and Combined Arms were my two first votes. I really enjoyed those two. Especially Comb Arms. Finished 3rd in my bracket. My highest PvP placement ever. Also picked new PvE and new PvP events.
If the devs really are reading these and then implementing our ideas, I'd like to throw out my double elimination idea. You pick 3 characters to enter. Those 3 are the only 3 you can use. Play as many matches as you can. Limited # of health packs also. You play until you lose two times. Then you are out of the tournament. Defensive losses do not count. Or something along those lines. When I first saw No Holds Barred, I was kinda hoping it was something like that.

I have just two points i want to say,
1) limited rosters really do put a damper on PVP and PVE games imo... especially when its EXTREMELY limited rosters where you can only use maybe 3-4 characters out of 40 or more available in your roster...
2) While there isn't any PVE mode / story that i particularly prefer over another, i would really love to see them cut down on the length of time PVE events run to stop them being so grindy... I mean up to maybe max 3-4 days i can understand and deal with, but to go over that, into ones like the current ISO-8 Brotherhood with 9 days of grinding is just way too much for most peoples sanity...0 -
I'd love a Balance of Power event that balanced the characters similar to how the Combined Arms PvP did but instead buffs all characters so they all have exactly the same match damage at max level.0

Combined Arms had the same damage for 3* and 2*. I'm guessing they didn't do that for 1* so that it didn't become a Juggernaut headbutts everyone event again, as Juggernaut matching 3* match damage would result him being overwhelmingly dominant.0 -
I picked several options in the vote, but I really just mainly want to see more events that let you pick all 3 characters. Constantly being saddled with a character who is little more than dead weight is definitively frustrating.0
-
Back when I started, there was an Ares PvP too. Why not bring back the occasional 2* PvP for a change? I mean, I'm long past the transition, but I frequently use my 2* during PvE because I like playing with them.0
