The AI Cheats w Juggernaut

An observation:

I know the Juggernaut's 'unstoppable crash' is supposed to destroy random tiles, but if you use a Countdown Tile based character, such as Modern Hawkeye, 9 times out of 10, he will destroy it. At first I thought, ok maybe that was just luck, but when the computer uses Juggs he always destroys countdown tiles. I don't think it's truly random as they say it is.

    confirmation bias.

Run an experiment and tell us the results using real, unbiased observational data.

Run three CD producing characters against Juggs in the prologue. Let him match as much green as he wants, heck, run CD producing Ares and give him green. Count the percentage of CDs destroyed vs normal tiles and report that back to us. Take screenshots. Take videos.

Demiurge_Will would love to hand that data back to his programmers, as would we all, were your observations true.
  • I wonder if someone could mathematically calculate the odds that a random board would destroy the power up. After several moves of play, the distribution of colours across the board is no longer statistically even: they're much more likely to mildly cascade after his Crash. I'd guess with Juggs at max level, the odds of the countdown getting destroyed in a cascade is about the same as him destroying the token outright. Maybe the odds of destruction are 40%.
  • There are 64 tiles on the board. Juggs destroys 16, or 1 in 4, tiles. So, ignoring cascades, the odds are 1 in 4 of him destroying a particular tile. If he consistently does it more often then it's cheating. If not, you've just had a spell of bad luck.
  • Ok, I probably should have worded that better. However, it seems like everytime I'm using modern hawkeye or a character that uses countdown tiles, and I go up against juggs, anytime he uses unstoppable crash it seems to destroy my tile.

  • As far as I can tell it is random. I've used and fought against multiple random tile destroyers, the chances are as far as I can tell, fair.

The AI does sometimes launch attacks without necessary ap though.
