A Lite version of the MPQ, please

I have noticed the game runs slower and slower on my phone over the last few updates.
Now each tile match would take a few seconds for the animation complete. It takes even longer if I tap multiple times too quickly trying to move the slow tiles.
Then I would see the characters slowly moving across the screen for their animations.

May I suggest a couple of options to speed up the game:
1. A "Disable animation" or "Play at Lower graphic quality" option to reduce the load on the CPU/mobile phone.
2. A "Lite" version of the game for older phones. (a smaller build of the game with less animations)
3. Buy a new phone. (rather than spending it on hero points)

I tried the PC version of the game, but I gave up because the PC version doesn't sync to Facebook.

Thanks.

Anyone who disabled animations would be able to play faster than anyone who didn't, so turning off animations would become the norm

Then there would be no reason to make them

Lowering quality would be fantastic; I can't give two **** about how the art looks during a fight. I'm looking at the **** tiles.
  • I played this game for nearly 8 months on my iphone3 and it sucked balls. It was soooo slow it was unreal. Then i got a new phone last month and i can play 2 games in the time it takes me to play 1. Crazy for a match3 game icon_e_smile.gif
  • If we get rid of animations, can we fix the battery drain too? This game sucks phone battery at twice the rate of anything else I play. My phone needs true healing after a little playtime.

Who knows *what* this game is doing to consume so much power?! I tried playing this on an older PC and I got a message saying that I couldn't play MPQ because my graphics card didn't support pixel shading. C'mon, seriously? Why does MPQ need pixel shading? You're telling me that a comp that could play Elder Scrolls Oblivion and other somewhat older 3D games can't play a simple match 3 game?
  • Yeah I used to play on my Xoom4G (dual core) tablet and always thought it was a lil sluggish. After getting my wife hooked on the game and seeing her play on her Nexus 7 (quad core), it felt like 2 totally different games. I started playing on a 5th gen iPod Touch to get the same experience as her but still wonder why a 'match 3' game is so resource intensive that it cannot play right on an older device that can play the Puzzle Quest before it flawlessly?
  • I have given up playing MPQ on my old phone. It's too slow and the game crashes after a few games.

Agreed, I can only get a somewhat lag-less experience these days on a Nexus 7. Any other phone or tablet just can't handle the newest updates. I even bought what I thought would be an upgrade tablet, only to find that it can't handle the game at all. Doing anything closely resembling a shield hop is pure suicide on most devices.

I have to say, my girlfriend has zero problems playing on her iPhone 5c and her daughter plays from time to time on her (i.e. my girlfriend's) Galaxy Tab II with no noticed problems so far.
