    I just have to say that I vehemently disagree with the OP. This strategy is brilliant.

    If the player in the screenshot were to remain unshielded, there is a chance that they might receive one or more defensive wins, thereby causing their MMR to skyrocket. Shielding at 0 is the new tanking.
