42 pack ?

Did anyone buy so far 42 pack from heroic ? If so can share what you got ? Or any other event with 42 pack offer

Edit: Or they can give sometimes in new pve or new season as reward 42 pack tokens ...is better then IW i think icon_e_wink.gif

    Packs are a terrible value. You're better off just using that HP to increase skills on the ones you need. If you're not just starting out, don't buy it.

    Only an idiot or an oil sheikh would buy the 42 pack. Packs in general haven't been worth it since they removed the guaranteed cover. Even then they weren't really worth it, but at least you were getting one cover that you needed.

    I assume no one have buy from them ..or they should make a better offer

    It costs more than 50 bucks and is not statistically likely to have very many 3*s. It's awful. I don't know who is buying these.

    Oh no, they still get sales from it. The problem is that depending on how deep your roster continues to get, the value of a 42 pack continues to decrease. Right now I need IW Green and She-Hulk Blue. Buying a 42 pack at a chance of obtaining either of those two covers is just a bad deal any way you look at it. It gets even worse the more characters in which you have fully covered that you don't need. Is 11200 HP really worth a potential 10500+ ISO?

    Edit: 10500 ISO is actually less than the $20 purchase for ISO...

    Useful if you've just started playing, I think. Pointless if most of your characters are completely covered already.

    There doesn't have to be a guaranteed cover for me, as long as the drop rates are good. I recall I bought two Falcon 10-packs back when he was new, and along with the covers won at an event, I had him almost completed after that. But now, even with a 42-pack, you're most likely to get 2 covers of the character you want. Really not worth it. I'll make sure I win them and then, if I really like the character, I can still buy him up. That's a lot cheaper. Otherwise I just wait for him to be offered as reward again.

    As others has stated, never ever buy packs, unless you are just starting the game. You get 40 2* and 2 3*. Just wait to get the cover from events and then use ur hp to buy the cover.

    I purchased a 42 pack and did okay. I have started duplicate characters for my roster, so I still need pretty much all the covers I can get. I got a Hulk, She Hulk, Mohawk Storm, Deadpool, 2 Punishers, Falcon, GSBW, 2 Modern Thor and a Black Panther. And those were just the 3*s. I also got plenty of 2*s that I needed.

    My plan is to eventually max 1 of every character, then cover max a second 1 of each character, but only level them to about 75% of the way up. That way I can use the heros I want and still have others tank certian colors.

    Only problem is, ( here I give a shout out to Bugpop, thanks for the info, already cut roster back down to 100 ), I can only have a max of 100 roster slots. What happens when the game has 55 or 60 different characters? I am one of D3's favorite kind of customer, a gamer addict with OCD. If I don't have a complete roster, it will bug me to no end. icon_mad.gif

    Which is one of the reasons I buy packs in the first place. Psylocke blue is the only cover I dont have in the entire game. No matter what I do, what I try, I just can't get one. And it is really driving me more crazy than I already am. So I do stupid things like buying packs in a futile attempt to get a blue cover for Psylocke. Now, if I were a paranoid kind of person, I would say the devs know this, so they intentionally deny me the one I need so I will keep spending money. But no one would Ever do something like that. icon_rolleyes.gif

    No i'm not that new player i just want to know how are rewards for 42 pack ..so i guess i will buy needed covers instead buying packs ..as i see it is waste of money
    i play 93 days so far and i have 3 max 3* cmag and patch and sentry and daken 140 lvl and 8-9 more then 130 lvl without spending money and roster slots 32 ..i think is good progress for these days ...

    I would say so. I can assure you I wasn't looking that good a 250 days. Still missing a usable Daken and CMags lol.

    That cover eluded me too for a while. Same with 3* Magneto blue. But in both cases, when I finally got them, I got several in a row.
    (Psylocke may be coming in the daily rewards, if I remember that correctly.)

    I recently bought one in the deadpool event. I'm at a place in the game where I have a lot of 3 star characters with 4-7 covers each and I wasn't able to put any time in to the original deadpool event (thus not getting any covers). With the sale going on I figured that I would take a swing.

    I ended up with one of each deadpool cover and 9 additional gold covers. I was quite pleased with the outcome, but I feel like I had a well above average pull.

    Since the guarantee cover in packs had been removed, so what is it actually meant by 2 additional covers?

    Based on 21.6% probability (not sure if that's right, read it somewhere else here), the most likely occurrence is 9 covers (14.8%), followed by 8 (14.1%) and 10 (13.6%). So really just an average pull.

    12-13 is well above average, 14+ is rectal horseshoe.
