Help request for forming a team

I've been using a combination of Thor/IM40 recently with the 3rd revolving around the event's buffed cover. Now that there is an event with no buffs, I'm kind of at a loss as to what I should be using or working towards. Currently, I am using Thor/IM40/Doom, but it is slooow. Any suggestions for a team to go with for non-buffed events? If I have a lower level character with enough covers to be useful, please suggest so I can work on them instead of leveling IM40/Doom.

C.storm, Thor, and I'm40 would be alright. Cstorm generates a lot of ap with her green to fuel.the other two, and her blue can change a game.

If you can get a couple green.covers for Wolvie, him and Thor work great together

Yeah, it was for The Hunt. I enjoyed collecting 10 red and then winning for most of the event, can't say it didn't work since I placed 4th. Was 1st for most of the last day, but ran into the rubberbanding issue where I was only getting 4-6 points per mission on the last day and couldn't keep up.

I just remembered I used to use 1* Black Widow with them and was pretty much unstoppable on offense, tried it again and it worked. Think I may start leveling IM40 again for that combo.

I'll also check out C. Storm to see if I like her better than Black Widow. If done correctly, using rainbow and red/yellow boosts, you can keep 2 characters permastunned while you take the team out one at a time and use IM40 to keep everyone's abilities moving.

I would stick with Thor/Doom/Iron Man 40, mostly because they're the highest leveled and are the most complete in powers. They'll allow you to keep your tile damage up while not interchanging powers too much. That is just me though, it depends on if you want a rainbow in powers, but Iron Man 40 would be the easiest replaceable in your team, simply because of his low level and because Thor already took red, but you can use Iron Man 40 for his yellow since Thors is only level 3.

Nod. The problem I was having with Doom is that I am usually waiting for non-clumped reds, and by the time that happens with 5-6 available, the other team is mostly dead from Thor. The only reason I have IM40 in there is for his recharge, I almost never use his other 2 powers. Maybe I just need to not care and put them out anyways... at the very least, they will get an attack in before getting cleared. My other issue is no viable stun in that 3-some which is why I used 1* Black Widow.

Been playing Thor/IM40/BW and the only time I get routed is when I hit a Thor yellow accidentally instead of IM40 yellow which doesn't let me cycle my stuns.

I was thinking of trying Doom/Wolverine/Daken eventually, but that is a lot of red tiles needed to hold their strikes/demons.

What about Doom/Dakan/Grey Widow?

None of their skills really step on the toes of each other. None of them really rely on making red matches.

You can build strike tiles while collecting GW's green (plus her purple will flood the field with more of green).


Thinking more about it, it probably won't work. You'll be weak in Red/Yellow and most of the other teams you will be facing will gobble them up.

That is an interesting combination. It may not be a big deal if you clear the board correctly to prevent them from clumping, but it almost feels like Thor needs to be part of the team because of his huge and cheap damage.

I was also thinking of using Loki as an AP generator instead of IM40. The times I played with him during the Lightning Rounds, he creates a ton of AP with his purple ability plus you don't really care about clumped tiles. I think I would need more purple covers and some more levels though to make him viable during non-buffed tourneys. The only issue then is possibly clearing the demons, but it may be more beneficial than not.

You will also swallow up your attack tile placement for Doom with every green match.
