AI using abillities before they have enough AP

I just had a match during the storm PVP event where i had full health. I used the team lvl 68 Storm, 94 Wolverine, 130 Spiderman and I was playing lvl 60 storm, 94 OBW, and 94 Ares. First I made one match(3 greens), then the AI made one match (3 reds) then i matched again (4 reds). on the AI's second turn it fired OBW aggressive recon(Stealing all of my AP), OBW healing ability, then team up power sentry's AOE that took half of each of my teams health(except my storm, she died), it then fired Nick fury's team up and killed my level 94 wolverine. I was left with a level 130 spiderman with half health. i then made another match(3 purple) and on their next turn OBW fired aggressive recon and her healing again and then fired Sunder from their Ares. I died. AI only had 3 reds and just fired off everything. This seems like more than a coding problems, seems intentional. I have had the AI fire off attacks with not enough AP ever since the true healing update in basically every match. I am seriously about done with this game. Team-ups was a good idea in theory, but has turned out to be the worst because the AI you play always has the best abilities and doesn't even need the required AP to use it. I have about one match a day where i completely destroy a team and take almost 0 damage and right before I win, it uses sentry's AOE or Black panthers ability to damage my whole team. It's stupid. Please Fix ASAP, If it doesn't I'm going to have to find another game to play.

    Not just the green ability, the red one which is usually cost 12 red AP if maxed and does 3k+ damage. I get this one as well right off the bat.

  • I've seen this happen with:
    Thor (2 and 3*) all colors
    Ares all colors
    Obw purple
    Juggs all colors
    Psylocke black
    2* cap yellow on rare occasions
    Sentry but I can't remember which color it was
    I've heard of but never seen with panther's black
    Team ups, especially the second and third ones they use
    And I know I'm forgetting a few. They can't make an ai with the slightest intelligence so they make one that cheats instead.
  • The time I've noticed it happening the most frequently is right before someone gets knocked out. If I see a Thor with 53 hitpoints left, I know I'm going to see Call the Storm, and maybe another power too, regardless of whether they have enough AP to cast or not.

    The cheat is so obvious, why didn't they just make all the falling down mana match the existed for 10 times, it would be less obvious 'cause sometimes player could also got that lucky. Or they did that already?
  • I'm done for now. This problem makes me mad, I was just about to defeat a team when the game decided the only alive player (94 storm) could cast windstorm on consecutive turns. The first turn they had 8 blue AP of the required I believe 10, and the second turn they had 0. I use to love playing this game but this is big problem. I never missed out on getting at least into the top 100 to get a cover in PVP but this will make 2 in a row i missed because of a dead team and no health packs. I refuse to buy them or spend any money on a game where its fixed in a way to make you not progress further without spending tons of money. It didn't use to be this way, but ever since I'd say about when hulk was introduced and they started adding a new 3* every other week, it makes it extremely tough to advance without spending money. I wish D3 or Demiurge would at least acknowledge the issue and fix it, but I haven't seen anything about it on their end.
  • Wow. I thought I'd noticed this myself a lot but my friend said I was just getting hit with cascades early and not realizing how much they were getting out of it.

    I got hit with a Wind Storm last night on like the 3rd turn without noticing the AI picking up many blue at all, and then on the very next turn I got hit with a wind storm team up through the team up bug. Somehow I still managed to win, but what a pain.

    Last week, I was railed on the AI's 3rd turn with a lvl 140 Summon Demons, followed by a second Summon Demons on the 4th turn. No Technopathic Strike was used, nor were there any black cascades.

    I was fortunate enough to match most of the reds immediately and negate the issue, but I found it to be suspicious home-cooking.

    D3's solution is for us to show proof before investigating, which I believe amounts to a friend recording me playing these games on my phone, while I swipe to the AI's tile count between every move. That shouldn't impair my PvP crunchtime performance too much.
  • Doesn't look like they plan to fix this anytime soon. I have yet to see them acknowledge it, probably because it would be so hard for us to prove unless we recorded ourselves playing like BearVenger mentioned. The new update will basically only address the Team-up problems of having too many and the AI only being able to use one. Doesn't solve any issues with the AI using their abilities early.
  • I've on occasion experienced it too. Like when the AI fired off 4 TUs in one match yesterday...
  • Lost an event today (trying to get into top 25 but fail the last match) because the AI's OBW use 2 healing and 1 steal each turn for 2 turns when her HP < 1000. After that yellow wolverine uses 2 Red and a team up Black Iron man's Stun AOE, killed my ***CA and Hulk with total 14000+ HP. Nice one icon_e_smile.gif

    Forgot to mention Wolverine spa Feral Claw for like 5 times during those miracles icon_e_smile.gif

    I recently in the PvE ISO-8 event encountered multiple situations where it appeared that Ares is using his green ability Onslaught first... only to be followed by another NPC's or goon's green ability.

    Originally, my concern was the fact that there wasn't enough AP (visual count according to the opponent's AP count) and there wasn't, which could be be explained by a lag in the AP count, but what concerns me MORE is the fact that Ares' Onslaught empties out the green AP which means it should be impossible for him to go, and then for another NPC or goon to go AFTER him in the same turn.

    I'm going to keep playing and see if I can make some kind of track sheet for this.

    In case anyone was wondering, NO the green abilities following Onslaught were NOT Team-Ups. One was Rags' green ability and another was a goon and yet a third - and the most bizarre - was a second Onslaught.
