Question regarding token banking

So I have two accounts - my main (Steam) account, and a lazy, relaxed iOS account that I can play when I'm ruling the kingdom from my throne of porcelain. On my main account, I pretty much cash in tokens right away, but had to deal with the worry from the start of not having the roster space and panic-grinding for HP to buy it. On my iOS account, I decided I didn't want to do that, and so made the rule that I was not going to cash in any tokens.

There's the obvious display bugs, of course - main screen showing 99 tokens when I have quite a few more, and the inner screen showing cut off numbers (only sometimes - Yesterday, I could see I had 219 Standard tokens. Won two more and my display just says 22 now) but my question is:

What is the upper limit for banking tokens? Is there a cap which, once reached, I cannot store or be awarded any more? Because until roster space is less of a squeeze, I'm not going to open them and let them continue accreting.

I know someone with over 800 tokens banked up so don't worry you aren't pushing the limit.

The tokens also update when an event of the same name roles back around.
