Farming Iso-8 efficiently?

So I am at a point now where I need just loads and loads and loads of Iso-8 to continue my progression. I have a near max 2* team (94 ares, 91 thor, 70 daken) and I play every PvP and PvE event to place as highly as I can. My issue is now that I am placing higher and levelling, my opponents are getting VERY strong.

I can't really beat anyone in the PvP events anymore as they are all matching me with level 100s+. My shield simulator is the same problem. I don't know what to do to earn more ISO, and farming 20 at a time by beating the easy prologue mission seems ridiculous.

My question is:
1) is it worth tanking and crushing my rank in PvP events so I can climb the ladder again and re-earn the iso? or
2) should I just farm 20 iso at a time from the prologue?

thanks!

Lightning Rounds. Enter when the round starts and you'll fight easy seed teams -- you should be able to hit a couple progression rewards just fighting seed teams. You do have enter exactly when the round starts; even one minute after and you'll see regular 3* teams.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes I do play Lightning rounds as often as possible, but what about when they're not up? What about over weekends and stuff?

Couple of ways to farm. PVE is the obvious one, if you clear all the rewards that's a nice chunk there. Lightning rounds are also quite efficient if you join at the start and farm the seed teams. This requires you to have some dedication to open the event right after it starts, but you can easily get ~5 fights there from easy seed teams.
Other than that, tanking does work, but not for farming really, it's more for higher placement in events to get better rewards. You could try losing like crazy in shield sim and climbing back up. I guess that is kind of farming ...

If you're talking about weekends, your best bets are the Simulator/whatever PvP event is running. If your enemy levels are too high then yes, you'll want to tank. I'd probably tank in the Shield Simulator. Go ahead and kill off your roster until you start seeing reasonable enemies, then start winning battles for ISO and repeat as necessary.

Assuming he has the time and his goal is to get more ISO he'd be better off retreating in PVP.

It won't affect your MMR but you'll lose points fast. Once you get up to 700+ points--or whatever point you start having trouble winning fights easily--you should start retreating using the loaner plus two low-level characters. You'll be able to lose a few hundred points quickly. At that point you can start to play normally again against easy teams and collect more ISO along the way. Repeat as much as you want until you're ready to play the PVP normally.

Right, but part of his problem was that he was seeing too highly leveled enemies for his roster, so he does need to adjust his MMR.
