I have it, it is really nice. You can basically read just about everything Marvel has put out except for what has came out within the last 6 months. They add the issues weekly once it hits the 6 month old mark.

All the old classic runs are there and complete. So far I've ready through the Frank Miller Daredevil run and Claremont X-Men run that I hadn't read before and really enjoyed it.

So if I wanted to read the whole civil war saga or house of m , I don't have to pay anything extra, just the subscription

Note: Not literally everything. A lot of stuff, but not everything. There are some big gap; the 70s and 80s seem the most afflicted. I was looking up some (admittedly kind of obscure) stuff, like the first appearances of Starlord and Squirrel Girl, and they're not there. Some series (a lot of the anthologies especially) are missing a lot of non-critical issues. And there's some other weirdness (Marvel Comics presents, for example, might have only one of the four stories, for example).

It's good - I would say it's definitely worth the money - but be aware that there are gaps in what it contains.
  • Some good ones, like Web of Spiderman, which had the whole lead in to Venom, are almost completely missing. Also, the Android app is a giant piece of ****. Also, no Deadpool and Cable.

    I still love it

You can read tons of stuff. I read the Civil War saga and my husband and I are reading through the X-Men comics. (Note, I recommend skipping the first 90 or so actually, they are cringeworthily bad haha).

They need to work on their actual reader software, but I don't have a single complaint about the content. Anything I have looked for and tried to read has been available.

    Heck, that's almost a deal breaker. icon_e_sad.gif

Nah, just kidding. I'm also considering to subscribe.

To address this one specifically, yes. I've been subscribed for around a year now, AMD I've read all the major events AMD arcs from Disassembled to Dark Reign.

That said, there are some comics with problems. Missing text, issues not loading, pages missing. However, in the couple hundred issues I've read, I'd say i encountered fewer than 10.

They've come far in recent updates with the Android app's functionality. A lot of bugs and problems (random logouts, issues not loading) have been addressed and fixed

I have had the service since its initial offering. I have been through many iterations of the Android App and the online portal, and I can say that its at a point where I think I'm getting a pretty good deal. It isn't perfect, but its worth what you get. The fact that they continue to improve upon their product does give you some idea that they are committed to the platform.

If you like services such as Netflix live streaming, and you want to read comic books, then you will appreciate Unlimited. They call it Unlimited because you can read as much as you want of what they have online, which isn't everything, but is far more than anyone could ever read in a year. The amount of new(ish) content that comes out is perfectly acceptable. If you want to follow major story-lines and cross-over events, then you'll never miss anything.

I think that it is well worth the money. Get the basic package for a few months, then decide if you want to get the discount for longer terms of subscription. I personally get the yearly rate.

I think I'm going to try it for a month

My daughter has it and installed it on my tablet for me. She prefers actual comics but I love reading them on my Nook. I really like that I can spend a whole evening reading a series.

As someone who never read comics, this has been a great way to get me into it. Yes, there are gaps but there is so much there that you won't run out.
