Passive Team-Up

Perhaps this isn't a bug, but I could have sworn that when Team-Ups were announced they said that no passive powers would be available.

However, I'm looking at my screen right now and I've got a Redwing Team-Up.

Does it have an activation cost?

I wonder if this slipped in because it has a minimum amount of AP you need to have before it will passively trigger.
  • I'm not sure.

I wanted to get a screenshot of it before I used it, so as to combat the oncoming "Are you sure it wasn't Bird Strike. I bet it was Bird Strike." But this required me to figure out how to take a screenshot because apparently I am now old.

More details to follow after I actually try and use it. Let's see if I can survive the opponent's omnipresent, yet supposedly random, World Rupture so that I have a chance to use the darn thing.
  • Okay, I've used it... And the results were the worst possible.

It is truly passive - as in it does not cost TUAP to use.
It does not require 5 blue AP to work.
It does not require 5 TUAP to work.

So, how is that the 'worst possible' you ask?
Because, my dear reader, the point you are missing is that it does not work. It does nothing. The TU bar is grayed out as though a passive power is there. I collected 9 TUAP, and had at least 12 blue because I was able to fire off Wind Storm, and still nothing. No Redwing sweeping in to wipe out CD tiles. No Redwing there to save me from Attack tiles. No Redwing to so much as tinykitty on my car windshield.

    But wait, there's more!

Since the TU did nothing... yep, you guessed it, it doesn't go away! So now, not only do I get to play with a TU that does absolutely zilch, but I get to keep it forever! Or at least until the patch that adds a 'delete' function in, but judging by the way D3 is heading, I'm pretty sure the "delete unwanted TUs" button is going to be bugged to delete every TU except for Redwing and Control Shift.

Truly a bug. And at that, since it's not in the list of Team-Up-able powers, it shouldn't have dropped nor should drop in the future. May want to keep that one around though (even if/when we allow deletion of TUs).
That's like having a Cal Ripken Jr. Rookie Error Card. icon_e_smile.gif
  • Ah, dammit.

You weren't supposed to make me want to keep him!
