attacking a specific person

How is this possible? I see people talkomg about getting targeted. I dont understand

    As far as I know, there is no magic trick.
    To target specifically someone, you have to skip opponents in tour nodes until you see this person.

    However when you reach a score that is highest than the majority of the players, you will be matched preferentially with the few ones who reach this score too. This may increase the odds to find someone, I guess.

    Also when the majority of people start shielding, it leaves you with a small pool of targets in your subbracket.
